I have notebook Pavilion g6 2260ew with CPU Intel Core I5 and GPU Radeon. If I want play e.g. Witcher II I have a problem, becouse GPU card is all the time from Intel, not Radeon. AMD Catalyst doesn't work. I tried switch and nothing. OS Win8. In BIOS I can't switch this. Some sugestion? Change OS (Linux?)?

Hi, I have a dv7-6179us and I was wondering if upgrading the video card is possible and what would work as an upgrade. Currently it has the AMD Radeon HD 6490m 1GB card. When I am running programs for photos and video, I always get High CPU usage. So I was wondering if upgrading the video card would help this.

the touch screen capability on my envy isnt working i dont know if i accidently messed something up or turned it off but it was working fine then it wasnt. i could use a little help on figuring out what happened and how i can fix it

I have been trying to install the display drivers necessary for my HP Pavillion dv7-6163cl Entertainment Notebook. The laptop is supposed to switch between the Radeon HD 6770M graphics card and the Intel (R) HD Graphics family integrated graphics. When I tried to download the drivers from this support page though

It does not work! It says I don't meet the minimum requirements to install the intel driver (which is bogus because this is an hp laptop specifically designed with this intel integrated graphics) and when I install the AMD driver, the catalyst control center can't even detect my Radeon graphics card for some reason.
Can anyone help me out?
I have also tried installing an earlier version of the drivers from the support page as well just in case, but that didn't work. I also know my system is a 64 bit system and have tried both the 32 bit and 64 bit driver downloads to see if one of them would work. No success.
After having numurous issues trying to install linux on this machine and then screwing up my partitions and having to completely wipe and reinstall Windows 8.1, my computer no longer recognizes my Nvidia 740m card and only lists the Intel 4600 in device manager.
Ive tried various Nvidia drivers both from HP and Nvidia, ive reinstalled Windows a few times, and im really unsure of where to go on this issue next.
Like i said, i cant even see the Nvidia hardware in device manager, not even as a non functioning device. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance
Just got this used laptop, seems I'm lacking video drivers. It is a compaq presario C700, running windows XP(version 5 I think). I tried to run minecraft, and that brought this to my attention, although it's not the first time I've had video issues with some lack and not being able to run stuff. I tried the Hp site, but it doesn't have drivers for Xp for my model and seems to think it's a different model laptop. Here is what the program said:

I have Pavilion 14 n059tx and when I connect it to my Panasonic 32 LCD TV, nothing came up on the TV.
After a few attempts, I noticed that the default refresh rate for Intel HD graphic is set to 50Hz and when I change it to 60Hz, the screen appears on the LCD.
This solution only works if I project the screen to TV using Extend.
It works for Duplicate too but the screen ratio on the TV will be a mess.
If I use TV as my main screen, nothing will show up. The reason is that the default refresh rate is set to 50Hz. By not able to see the screen, I wont be able to change the refresh rate to 60Hz.
So the question is, how can i change the default refresh rate for my Intel HD Graphic to 60Hz.

I have a HP Pavilion 15z-n200 Notebook PC and have been having a problem with the Auto-brightness on the screen. I'm not very tech savy so I've searched through the forum and read several possible solutions but have not been able to find any way of switching auto-brightness off. It's quite annoying now :/
The laptop runs windows 8 and I have no idea where to find PC settings in order to switch it off! Any possible help or solutions would be much appreciated

My laptop is still under warrentee but asking here in hope of quick solution as I can not do without it for long.
In the last few days when the laptop has been left for a short while and goes into hibanation when it comes out the contrast of the display is show high I can't use it. I have to reboot. It's annoying when in the middle of a document or when a lot of windows are in use.
It's win 8 with latest updates.
Pavilion G4 laptop 1107nr recently throws a random bluescreen. Error exception message related to the AMD/ATI graphics function, the labtop auto reboots. Currently, the display settings seem to be running through the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel.
It allows me to extend my desktop to 2 of my 3 displays (including the laptop display) but will not allow me to extend my desktop to all 3 at the same time. It recognizes all 3 displays.
I have downloaded AMD Eyefinity but cannot access it through my AMD Catalyst Control Center.
Any ideas on how I can extend my desktop to all 3 displays?

I did all of that but to no avail. When i did the BIOs reset it didnt restart, when i restarted it manually it said "checksum is invalid 502" . How can i remedy this if i cant get in to windows? thanks for your help in advance.
