I have a dell monitor that I want to extend my display on. I am using a j5 to connect, because my elitebook does not have an hdmi attachment. I have the settings on extend for screens 1 and 2. And I still don't have a display. What am I doing wrong?

Spectre Stylus not charging
Dear,
I've recently bought the new Spectre x360. It comes with an active stylus pen, which is apparently not working.
I've plugged it in the charger that comes with the laptop for 1 hour, as advised. It has no indication that is charging (a LED usually). And after I unplug it and try to turn it on, it doesn't do anything.
Am I doing anything wrong? Or should I return it?
Thank you,
Pedro

I have had the same issue - do the computer-mandated update, and now the only video I can see is YouTube. Nothing else. I have switched Internet browsers from Edge to Internet Explorer. It's the older system, but it's working fine for now.
Scrolling on inactive windows not working
Hi there,
I'm having a strange issue I hope someone can help with:
I recently purchased an HP Envy laptop, and I have enabled the "Scroll inactive windows when I hover over them" option in mouse settings, however this doesn't seem to work properly when using the touchpad. It works fine when switching between chrome and one of the windows 'settings' windows, for example, but I can't get it to work with any office applications.
If I am using Word and chrome, say, I have to 'tap' to make the window active before I can use two finger scrolling. Also, the scrolling speed seems to vary between chrome and any msoffice application (slower in word, for example) - as though the touchpad settings don't seem to have registered with MSOffice, which I would find very strange as this is a feature of Windows 10, and both being Microsoft products, both latest versions.
I know this seems like a minor issue, but it is a bit of an annoyance as it is a new feature of Windows 10 and the laptop is brand new, so it would be disappointing if it doesn't work!
Perhaps I have missed a setting somewehere - any help would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks,
George
HP ENVY x360 15-aq273cl - No Active Stylus Pen
If you bought an HP Envy recently (I purchased mine from Costco - November 2017), there is no compatible active stylus pen.
I first purchased the Bamboo Ink Smart from Best Buy to find it was not compatible (not even via Bluetooth).
I then asked for assistance from HP support. They suggested the HP Pen, but that too was not compatible.
I was then told there is no compatible active stylus pen.
So just a heads up for customers seeking a resolution....

HP 255 G6 VGA PROBLEM
Hi there,
i got the new HP 255 G6 and installed Win10 - 64bit. I 've tried to install the vga driver several times after a "clean" disk format and i get a monitor blinking black & gray screen and got the same message in blue screen "VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE" - file (atikmpag.sys). I tried also the latest AMD Radeon R2 driver from AMD's site and also tried updating the driver online. I got the same blue screen .... During Win10 installation i had no problems at all.
In HP's supportsite there are 2 vga drivers with same size and date (i tried the second one, Stoney Ridge with no results)....
If there is any suggestion to solve this problem i'll appreciated. I didn't find any chipset driver for this notebook.
Thanks in advanced

How do I play a DVD on my laptop without using the Cyberlink program?

touchscreen issue
My touchscreen stopped working? It happened after a recent windows update.
Face recognition breaks intermittently
When I open my laptop, Windows Hello starts up and says "looking for you". About 30% of the time, it starts the camera up, sees me, and logs me in. About 20% of the time, it starts the camera up but immediately shuts it down again. Sometimes it will start the camera up a couple of times. About half the time, it does not start the camera up at all. In the last two situations, it never sees me. It eventually gives up and tells me to log in using a different option like password or pin.
Occasionally, in all of these situations, the camera will turn on after I have logged in. Sometimes the camera will immediately turn itself off, and sometimes it will just stay on. If it stays on, it continues to use illumination and flash the very distracting red lights next to the camera. I have to close the laptop and open it back up to get the camera to turn off.
I have tried restarting.
I have tried looking for a driver update on HP support, but I can't tell which driver is controlling the camera. My computer is only about a month old.
Can anyone please help?

Ghost touchscreen
Hi,
I have recently purchased the HP Envy x360 bq051na (Dark Ash SIlver)
And it came by DHL post from Currys PC World.
Since day one I have noticed my screen to have bright areas while there is a black color all over.
On the lower left corner and the top right corner. it's a few inches wide and long bright spots.
Plus, Which is the most important part.
The mouse pointer would jump over to the top right corner of the screen. Without touching it.
It doesn't happen as often. But while it does, that very point goes crazy. but luckily doesn't press anything.
I have tried all the troubleshooting. HP programme, AMD drivers, HID in device manager, Calibrating pen and screen.
Nothing helped with that. I have reset and update drivers for everything.
What I should do next? Is it possible to exchange the screen in my laptop? I believe it's hardware problem...
If so, would I need to backup my HDD?
It's a newly bought laptop and already have these issues, which are kinda annoying.
Can't do simple stuff like drag and drop files....
Please help.

Display crashes when waking from sleep
Any time my Zbook wakes from sleep mode, the screen seems to malfunction.
Connecting a second screen results in a working second screen, but still a crashing main display (so the Zbook did wake up).
All drivers are up-to-date, running the latest BIOS version and the latest verion of Windows 10.

Is my Radeon graphics card working?
How do I tell if my Radeon5 graphics card is working?
It is definitely installed in the laptop and shows in devices, along with the Intel(R) HD 620. Both are apparently working properly.
However, if I go into advanced Display Settings/Display adapter properties, only the Intel card is listed.
Should I worry about this? I don't want to have paid for a discreet Grahics card and then not have it working.
Thank you
Docking issue
Hello!
I have a issue whenever I plug in or unplug my computer from a docking station.
Every time I do this the computer runs like in slow motion for a minute, I can move the mouse and maybe 10 seconds later I see the cursor moving, slowly. But after about a minute everything works fine again.
I have two 24" screens.
First I had a HP Ultraslim docking, then to see if there was problem with the docking station itself I changed to a Dell Docking station - no change , then I reinstallad Windows 10, installed the drivers that seemed neccesary. But the problem persists...
