I am using laptop HP EliteBook 850 G3 (windows 10 64 bit) hooked up with my second monitor HP EliteDisplay E232.

Second monitor shows blurry text and image with "Recommended" setting given by windows 10.

 

Laptop display setting

 - Resolution: 1920X1080p 60Hz (Recommended)

 - Size of text, apps, and other items: 125 % (Recommended)

 - Graphic driver version: 21.20.16.4550 (intel HD Graphics 520)

 

Second monitor display setting:

 - Resolution: 1920X1080p 60Hz (Recommended, native resolution)

 - Size of text, apps, and other items: 100 % (Recommended)

 

When I the second monitor "Size of text, apps, and other items" from 100% to 125%, then blurry problem is disappeared. 

However, I would like to use 100 % size because it looks more natural for every application that I am familir with.

I have looked in the boards and can't find a direct answer... but admit i am new so maybe haven't looked in correct place..

 

anyway - there is a display port on back of revolve 810 g3, it is for a monitor (so it states in user guide). Problem is i can't find what type of adapter to use to display to external monitor.

 

Believe it or not i called tech support this morning and the agent said that he couldn't help me with that - he didn't know what was needed...??? really???

 

i don't know where else to look.  I hope someone can help.

I have a Zbook 17 G3 Notebook connected to a thunderbolt docking station with 2 Dell monitors attached.  I am experiencing frequent crashes of the NVIDIA driver for the Quadro M1000M display adapter.  It frequently happens when I am scrolling down a web page or PDF and have a Netbeans (a programming IDE) process running in another window.

 

Sometimes the driver is able to recover and sometimes I can use the laptop screen to get to the device manager and disable/enable NVIDIA which fixes the problem.  But most other times the screen is completely black or completely white and I cannot access the computer to shut it down properly and have to power it down manually.

 

I have used HP Support Assistant and SoftPak to update the NVIDIA and other drivers but no luck.  It crashes several times per day.

 

Any advice would be appreciated.

After last windows updates

 

When I turn on my HP Envy Touchscreen laptop the log in box appears but when I complete it, it just has a spinning circle and does not start up.

I have discovered through trial and error that if I close down by holding the power button in for a few seconds wait ten seconds and then switch on again (using the same power button) I can then log in and it starts up properly.

This does not seem the correct way as I should be using the ‘shut down’ symbol on screen. ( The problem occurs even if I select the ‘Restart’ option)
Any ideas how to rectify this. I even tried a restore to before the latest updates but the problem is still there.

Very Annoying

I keep getting popups in hp support website.  Popups are for adobe flash and yahoo toolbar.  Popups won't go away no matter what I click on.   Therefore, HP support website is useless!!!

Iam also facing the same issue
When make call to hp,they have taken remote assistance and checked drivers
After two hours called me and said all drivers are upto date but reset is required to solve issue.i have reserved,but then issue besides store unable to open and WiFi available networks are not displaying.again I have call they said to recover the notebook.i did it .the issue didn't solved till now.
If any one you find/know solution please share

My battery ran in my pen a few weeks back but when my battery order cam a few days ago and i loaded a battery the touch function wasn't working as in the pen couldn't perform the mouse function like it used to. I dont know what to do. i neeed hel because use it for my work. BTW, there are no messages or errors that pop up

Hello,

 

I have replaced the battery for my HP ENVY DV7-7203ea notebook and I noticed F2 and F3 keys don't work when I try to adjust screen brightness. Mind you, both keys were working perfectly fine with the old battery.

I downgraded my latest Intel Graphics driver from 9.17.10.4653 to factory version (9.17.10.2857) but that didn't solve the issue.

 

Is there anything else I could try to fix F buttons or could it be battery's fault, since the replacement one was not supplied by HP?

Hi, I purchased a pavilion x360 model 13-u062na with an HP Active Style (Wacom) a while ago. Now that Windows 10 fall update includes Paint 3D, I thought I would try and use it.

 

The Active Stylus connects via Bluetooth, but when I go to the control panel settings for Pen and Windows Ink. I am not shown any options such as am I left or right handed.

 

When I click on the top button, Microsoft One Note loads and that's about all it does.

 

When on the system information panel, I am told that Stylus is enabled with 10 point touch.

 

I have removed and paired the device again, but still no luck.

 

What have I done wrong?

Hi, I have recently just bought a HP 15-bw055sa and the touchpad is faulty. The mouse won't move around smoothly and keeps clicking on things without me actually pressing anything.

Screen is stretched horizontally. Resolution of 1920 X 1080 is no longer on option.  looked for updated drivers, there are none.  How do I get this back to normal?

Hi:

 

Laptop connected to docking station

Two HP 27es monitors

HDMI to Displayport cables connecting monitors to docking station

 

Both monitors display the same screen; graphics option does not detect the second monitor

If I swap out one cable for a standard VGA screw-in cable, my second monitor is detected.

 

What am I missing? Thanks community.

Ok, so I do not have a problem at this time but I am very curious if anyone can advise me on a heat/gaming related question.

 

I just bought my HP Omen gaming laptop about a week ago and LOVE IT. It's awesome. When I play games the fans (expectedly) go full power and the laptop gets hot. Obviously this is normal and expected but what I am mostly concerned with is the laptops ability to withstand running for hours at a time like this. Can I game for hours and not worry about my laptop even though its literally pushing maximum effort into cooling itself and gaming?

I'm still wondering why, when I bought this a year ago, it didn't come with a pen. I'm also wondering why, whenever I go back to a Best Buy, Office Max, Staples, etc., nobody sells a compatible pen. The last thing I'm wondering is where and how to get a totally compatible pen for my laptop. I see many pens out there but not one tells me unequivacably that it is totally compatible with this notebook. Any suggestions will be most welcome.
