I just picked up a 15-bs192od on black friday. I've invested in a SSD and more memory, but I'd like to upgrade the display panel to something with a higher resolution and better picture. I have an x360 of the same size, but the panel is sealed to the unit with adhesive. I'd rather not break one laptop to upgrade the other. What better panel options are available on the 15-bs192od that would be an easy swap?

 

I'd prefer to keep the screen a touch screen, but it's not a major necesity.

Its been working fine up until now

 

It can still switch between Tablet mode and Desktop mode when I set it to "never ask me"  but the "always ask me" function doesn't work

 

under the sensor tab in Devises there is a single item called "HID sensor collections V2", and says the drivers for it are up to date

 

I don't know if this helps, but can someone help me?

I have a HP Notebook - 12-ay014dx that runs Window 10 (64-bit)

 

I've had the laptop for 2 years and I had no issues with it until today. My husband went to use the laptop to do a cricut project online, when he turned on the laptop and it loaded, but when he used the touchpad the display went black. The display is still on, but the screen is black. He tried turning off the laptop and turning it back on but the display remained black. The LED light on the CAP LOCK started to flash. I used my phone to look up what could be causing the problem and HP support said that a LED code or BEEP code means that there is a greater problem. The most common is over heating, so I turned off the laptop and proceed to use a can of air to blow out any dusk that could be causing the problem. Once finished I turned on the laptop again, but the display was still black. When my daughter looked at it, she found to how to turn on the computer by removing the battery and the AC plug, and then holding down the power button for 15 seconds. I went through these steps and we managed to get the display the display to turn on. The laptop powered on normally. However, she tested the touchpad and she got the cusor to move, but when she clicked the touchpad the display went black again.

 

If anyone has information on how to fix this issue it would be appreciated.

 Olny Pen use. 

 

 

 I tried HP elite x2 1011 Pakage Driver install , OS 8.1 / 10 format -> install 

 all reset , bios update

 

 
 But not work!!

 

 Why don't you have a touch driver??

Large crack on screen, touchscreen disabled in these areas, no damage to interior components and no affect on performance, literally just want a new screen but dont want to do it myself. I cant work out how to do it on HPs website

Hi, I just bought an Envy x360 15 bp108ng because it says It works with active pens. However, I cannot find one that appears to do that! Any help would be greatly appreciated as HP customer service don't feel the need to respond to my email enquiry :-(

Hello Forum,

 

I just ordered an HP Envy x360 13" touchscreen 2-in-1 laptop.  I don't now anything about drawing on the screen with the Stylus.  From what I gather , it seems that you don't necessarily need a same-brand stylus to draw on the screen.  Is it the screen that picks up the action of the pen?  Is the pen communicating with the software?  

 

What is the stylus recommended for drawing fine drawings on the HP Envy x360?  What software is recommended?

My laptop is a HP Pavillion 15 ab031ax which runs AMD A10 8700P with AMD R7 M360.

My problem here is that, the display driver provided in HP support does not help and it is corrupted. I tried download in other machine still gotten the same result.

I checked again, i saw it updated as 23rd June 2015, but alas the same thing. The files is corrupted.

Right now after installing the graphic driver provided by AMD website, i only have R8 M365DX as my video driver but my display shown as Microsoft Basic Display Adapter.

When i click update for the MBDA, it says that it is up to date. When i tried to manually install R7 M360 or AMD R7 Series. It wont let me.

I asked tech support about this, they tried to do it remotely but failed. When is the display driver file gonna be update? 

I cant do my work without it.

Picked up a HP Envy with the new Ryzen 5 2500U. great machine, but when playing back videos on premiere, the video takes a very strange, annyoing purple tint that renders it useless for any video work.

 

here is a link to the problem, notice differente in raw footage on the left, and while played back by Premiere on the right, there are no effects or color correction applied, just plaing playing a video.

 

 

any advice?

My display seems to change brightness randomly during usage, particularly when touchingt he trackpad or moving the laptop. I believe this could be due to a loose connection. I have tried all of the typical battery options, checked drivers and BIOS settings and so forth and I am convinved this is a hardware issue.

 

How would I go about resolving this? My device is 2 years old but has a 3 year warranty, will this be covered under the warranty. My hinge has also become a lot looser, this happened a year ago but I did not believe it was worth getting repaired for such a small issue. However now I have another issue relating to the display I do believe it would be worth getting this fixed also if possible. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Hi,

 

I have had this laptop for a little more than three years and it did not serve me well, but I made it work. I had WiFi adapter problems within the first 3 months of having this laptop and dealt with it. Then of course after the one year warrenty expired from HP the screen decides to crap out on me. The probelm now is the screen will distort and fade into white. That or just completely freeze and have lines run from the top to the bottom, like the screen has a crack. But it then will begin to start working again when I push in the bottom right of the display, down by the bezel. I consider my self fairly proficient in computer hardware work so I would definitely try to fix the problem if I knew what was causing it. So my question is what specific part is messing up in my laptop? I think it is the cable that runs along the bottom of the screen. From my searching on the internet I can not find the specific part that I need to replace.

I think an update has done some thing. the device mge shows the display as a generic display hence resolution for a smaller screen. Has run perfectly on windows 10 for a year or more. also shows 32 bit and is capable of 64
