I am running 1073 version of Windows 10, 64 bit. Last night Microsoft decied that my display should use standard video driver, 1024 x  768.  Don't really mind that except that the native dispaly size is not 1024x768. The display looks horable!  I don't see any drivers listed at hp support for my computer using Windows 10.  Was I not supposed to upgrade this machine? Lately, I have been getting error messages from Windows Update.  The updates are not installing.  I tried upgrading to the new Fall Creaters update, but it claims to not apply to my computer.  What am I to do?  MS upgraded my computer from a fine running version of Windows 7 to 10. And now it isn't supported.

 

To fix the dispaly problem. I have tried to get drivers from the manufacture. They don't have them.  I have tried rolling the machine back to a restore point, that  operaion failed.

I accidently broke the screen to my HP Pavillion x360 15-bk006na laptop and the screen has small lines orginating from near the webcam. The screen still works but the touchscreen capability has gone.

 

I was wondering what the cost to get the screen fixed by a professional or the cost to buy a replacement to fit myself would be?

i've connected sony bravia lcd with my laptop through hdmi cable but after getting into screen resolution settings i've tried detecting the display but it shows "another display not detcted" what should i do?

Hello. I am a user of HP bw561ur, Windows 7 Home Premium 64,  AMD R5 Graphik (512Mb) и AMD Radeon 520 (2Gb) are onboard. There are all drivers for the graphic and BIOS updated and installed. The problem is the laptop doesn’t switch on discreet video card in applications, that use Open GL (as a PotPlayer, to example). In case I put “High Performance” in AMD Catalist Center any way there are “Power Saving” (according to the result of monitoring). Also I got an information that there is a solution to change an option in BIOS (fixed control mode) however my version of BIOS doesn’t support that option (dynamic mode by default). Please advise me an optimal solution.

Hello everyone,
I purchased a new laptop couple of days ago and for the first two days it was working perfectly but then my touchpad decided to go crazy.
Touch pad is working but it seems like its stuck and keeps pressing the left button and also the mouse on the screen is not following where i am trying to get but its jumping all around the screen which makes the laptop completly useless.
Has anyone got any idea what would be the reason for that? And is there any solution that would save me the hastle of sending the laptop for a service and it was only used couple of hours before it started with the issue.

My wife dropped the laptop. The screen display us unnafected apart from the cracks. Do i just need to replace the digitizer? If so how.

Laptop seems to boot up (I hear the hard drive running), but just get a black screen. I don't have a monitor but I connected it to another laptop and the other laptop seemed to detect there was another screen available. So it appears that the computer is booting up, but the screen is black. I've gone through all the steps I could find: resetting the computer by taking the battery out; holding windows key + b and turning the computer on to reset the bios. Not sure what else to do.

It's hilarious and somewhat scary but my baby cousin just LOVES to push down my laptop screen as far as it can go and let me say, I'm worried it will one day SNAP. LOL! Is that even possible? Thanks.

My laptop updated windows and when it turned back on, the keyboard no longer worked. ive tried uninstalling keyboard in device manager and restarting laptop but no luck. lights still work such as caps lock and mute button. only got laptop a few weeks ago.

I have an HP Envy x360 laptop with Windows 10.  I notice that the menu fonts are very pale compared to my friend's laptop.   For example the menu font in Chrome, MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and any Windows program.    The font looks pale and washed out, almost as if it's greyed out.  It makes it hard for me to read, and tiring.

 

The font is absolutely fine within the programs - on the internet for example, or in a Word document, but it is pale in all the menus.  

 

Increasing the brightness on the computer makes no difference.

 

How can I make the fonts look bolder/darker please?

Windows Update has changed my native aspect ratio and and I cannot get it back. The Display Setting no longer offers  me my old options, only 4:3. Obviously this ruins the experience as all of my photos now have streched faces. Even web videos

and web pages are in the incorrect aspect ratio.

 

In other words SETTINGS, SYSTEM, DISPLAY SETTINGS, RESOLUTIONS will NO LONGER give me an option to go

back to my old 16:9 only a choice of three 4:3 options. 

 

I have a dv7 Pavilion Entertainment laptop. I have updated the ATI display drivers and the HP site tells me that they

are the latest ones. Windows tells me the video display drivers are working ok. I have updated the ATI video driver

even though it was "up to date".

 

I am sure some of you have had the same problem - HOW DO I SOLVE IT AND GET MY NATIVE ASPECT RATIO BACK?

My computer was working one minute and the next time I went to get on it, it started but the caps lock light was flashing and the screen remained black. I began pushing a series of different keys and the screen came on and it worked fine. Then 2 days later it did the same thing only this time I don't remember which keys I pushed.

I am looking to purchase the active pen that is shown being included in several youtube videos for this model of laptop.

 

The pen is ash color with gold trim and I believe it has Spectre written on it.

 

Any links or part numbers would be greatly appreciated.

I m having d same problem from the beginning. It's work and then it stops. Everytime I call HP, they say to update my driver but then it fails again. I have tried every solutions mentioned in this page, none of them worked. Please help

i clicked the right button of mouse and selected screen resolution then i detected the tv but the result i got is "another display not detected" what should i do? using the hdmi cable

Hello HP, 

Really sorry for my bad english.

1 Year ago i bought nice hp laptop (not nice after buying it) Model 15-AY102NX with AMD Radeon graphics card 
R5 m430 as written in specs when i use it for first time after logging the very first thing  i was error of amd driver as stop responding and has been recoverd. after it screen goes blinking and black screen and blink and blink then it god BSOD 

i was my mistake that i format the hard and install new windows 10 for the driver but fails. 

then i install lateset driver from hp support assistant amd/intel but it also fails i have tried 100000 methods to solve this but fails 

i went to repairing shop the guy said that gpu is not sold right with board it has to be repaired but i dont repair it and using my laptop since then on intel hd graphics 620 

i am very disappointing with new hp products if u dont tell me solution to this i never ever gona buy hp again   (and f*cking amd ) 

i am very sad now

Really sorry for my bad english.

I want solution for my laptop hp envy 15-ay102nx which is the worst ever laptop hp made because of worst amd graphics 

first of all amd radeon m430 is showing m330 over a year and its goes to bsod when i switced on it i tried ever possible method to solve graphics problem but failed installed 5 times fresh windows and latest up to date drivers but fails in graphics i guess it is hardware built in manufactured problem of laptop but hp is ignoring it and giving me false solutions to problem.

Why me ?

Hi there,

i got the new HP 255 G6 and installed Win10 - 64bit. I 've tried to install the vga driver several times after a "clean" disk format and i get a monitor blinking black & gray screen and got the same message in blue screen "VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE"  - file (atikmdag.sys). I tried also the latest AMD Radeon R4 driver from AMD's site and also tried updating the driver online. I got the same blue screen .... During Win10 installation i had no problems at all.

In HP's supportsite there are 2 vga drivers with same size and date (i tried the second one, Stoney Ridge with no results).... 

If there is any suggestion to solve this problem i'll appreciated. I didn't find any chipset driver for this notebook.

The screen on my laptop stopped working and I'm trying to replace it. I was curious if it was possible to replace my screen with a touch screen. Is it possible to do this? If so, has anyone tried to do this?
