My touchpad doesn't work properly. I can't use it and the mouse is having its own life (clicking and moving around). It only helps if I restart the PC again. Then it's fixed again.
I did a full system recovery to the factory settings but it didn't help. I only have this laptop from July 2017.
What can I do?
My chromebook is registering every click as a right click. The keyboard is also randomly not working.
My camera is not working - I can open it, but it's just black. It works if used in Skype or Facebook, but not if I open it directly. Any ideas? I'm sure it's a basic settings function but I can't find it.

Help! I have used the tablet mode on my laptop and I've done all that I need to do to switch back but it's stuck! It prompts me, 'would you like to switch back to laptop mode'. I click 'yes', laptop screen changes to laptop mode but the screen won't flip back 😭

I have a Zbook 17 (G1). I got it remarkably cheap although it wasn't without it's faults. No battery, HDD amongest others. It was advertised with the screen needing replacing. However, I believe it has a 1600x900 panel and I was wondering is it possible if I could "upgrade" it to 1080p ?
I am aware 1080p panels for this laptop do exist but would I be able to make it work ? I've located a panel on eBay and I even messaged the seller, who asked for the part number to see if it matches to what I am after. I gave him the part number and he stated it is suitable but it won't work if the current screen resolution is different. I've heard different elsewhere so I figured I'll ask this question here and be 1 step closer.

computer works fine when i hit a favorable angle it goes black when it does not like the angle i select at first. searching for the right angle has worked for for 30 days. is it time to chuck the computer?

Just recently my screen got cracked during a flight, just the glass broke and there was no damage to the LCD. I bought a replacement glass+digitizer, I made sure to be buying the correct product with HP support before ordering it, then I took it to a repair shop. After replacing the Digitizer Glass, the person at the repair shop informed that the touch function wasn't working properly and had to replace the touch-screen controller board. But even after replacing this circuit, the touch wouldn't respond appropriately. So I have the computer back, the screen + digitizer is brand new and the touch function is not accurate.
Here is what I noticed:
1 - Seems to be an orientation/gridding problem. If I click on the top, it shows as if it's on the bottom. The difference decreases towards the center of the computer. So it's an orientation issue on the Y axis.
2 - There seems to be no problem with the X axis, if I touch the left side of the screen, the touch response is to left. It's at the same X position, but it will appear mirrored on the Y position.
Here is what I already did:
1 - Tried Calibration using the pad tool,
2 - Device manager: the newest driver is already installed, reinstalled, disabled, unabled. Nothing would solve the problem.
3 - Presses F2 after restarting and ran the Component Test for Touchscreen: That test doesn't help at all. The first test, to click on the squares, I click on the very first row of squares and it recognizes as if I clicked on the last row. Same thing for the second row, it recognizes as if I was pressing on the second last row, and so on. Only the exact middle row recognizes the touch where it is supposed to be.
A few other notes:
I just updated the Windows version on the same day that the computer screen was broken. So I am not sure if this could be something related to the update or not.
Any ideas on what could have been causing this?

Today i installed new windows update 1709 (kb4041994) and now my touchscreen has started giving me problems, i have tried updating drivers, rolling back driver, also i tried to uninstall update but i am not able to uninstall update. Please help me with the problem, its too much frustating

I bought my new HP Pavilion Laptop 15-ck039TX from a retail store very recently. I am impressed with the spec mainly because it carries a MX150 discrete graphic card. However, as I ran through a few games as well as design softwares, it seems the discrete graphic card is shutting down itself randomly during normal operation. This leads to frequent crashes of my program, practically making it impossible to use the discrete graphic card during normal works.
At the first glimpse I thought this is just a corrupted piece so better to get a replacement. But what confuses me is that everytime the discrete graphics shuts down, it recovers and resumes to function only some 2 to 3 seconds later. It is very similar to what I knew as throtlling(as I am professional in communication systems). And if this is indeed a throtlling, whatever replacement I could get should be carrying with the same problem.
But to me, throtlling to a "shutdown" situation does not make any sense. Could you please help me to confirm if this is indeed the problem? If yes, what is the possible solution for it? If no, what can I do to fix my laptop?
PS: I have already upgraded all possible drivers from HP website and the situation continues to grow.

Troubleshooting Black Screen Displays with No Error Messages During Startup or Boot
I'm having a problems with the HP IR Camera on my HP ENVY.
On startup it recognises me and logs me in without any problems. But when I try and use Skype or any video recording software I get a message saying "no webcam detected".

I am not able to find the correct drivers for my HP envy graphics card. I downloaded the following drivers from AMD site:
1. Catalyst Software Suite
2. Radeon Software Crimson Edition Beta
And following from HP Support Site:
3. sp58046-HD Graphics Driver
4. sp48434 -AMD and Intel Graphics Drivers for Microsoft Windows 7
After installing all of these, i coudn't restart my computer and got a blue screen at boot time with the following error:
"Attempt to reset the display driver and recover from timeout failed. "
I also find Dirver Signature warning in Device Manager for the Graphics Card Entry.
Please suggest a step by step guide along with the necessary drivers needed to resolve this.

So some time back I plugged in an external monitor(A sumsung but i dont know the name)via HDMI on my laptop and it immediately shut down. When I restarted it, it refused to start well, it was shutting down immediately almost as soon as the HP boot logo started showing. After that, my nvidia(NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M (2 GB DDR3 dedicated) stopped working and those 2 images started popping out. Then it started shutting down at random times when I boot without plugging it on power(Ie, powering on with battery only), but when I plug in on power and boot it, it works fine but my (NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M (2 GB DDR3 dedicated) nvidia still isnt working.
The images are not clear because I took them in a hurry, they show briefly fro a few seconds.

IT HAS HAPPENED AGAIN. AFTER ANOTHER BLEEPING UPDATE FROM WINDOWS/HP. I AM SO BLOODY FED UP WITH THIS.
MY ORIGINAL MESSAGE FROM BACK IN FEBRUARY:
"After the latest amazing Windows update (this is sarcasm, just in case it wasn't clear) - they always send a shiver down my spine when they do these things - the screen of my Pavilion won't rotate automatically anymore. I turn it upside down to use it as a tablet and it just won't rotate! How do I make it rotate accordingly to the direction of the laptop? This is very annoying, thank you very much."
BACK THEN I WAS GIVEN DRIVERS TO INSTAL, NOW THEY ARE OBVIOUSLY OBSOLETE. I AM SO FED UP WITH THIS.

I've got my HP Pavilion Power - 15-cb041nr hooked up to a large monitor via HDMI cable. Any time I view a video, the audio and video get out of sync, with the audio playing ahead of the video.
When streaming, it takes about 5 minutes for the video to lag enough to become distracting. I similar loss of sync streaming videos from any source I've tried (Youtube, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Comcast Xfinitiy). My internet connection seems good; video doesn't stutter or pause for buffering, it just goes out of sync with the audio.
Locally stored video takes longer to get noticably out of sync, about 20 minutes, but eventually gets just as bad.
Pausing for 30 seconds or so usually brings audio and video back into sync for a while.
I see the loss of sync using two different HDMI-connected monitors.
In limited testing, the sync issue only seems to happen when I use an external monitor. If I unplug and just use the laptop display, audio and video seem to stay synced.
FWIW, video games don't seem to have the problem.
I updated the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 driver, with no improvement.
I updated the Intel HD Graphics 630 driver, with no improvement.
I checked, but no update available for the Intel , NVIDIA or Realtek audio drivers.
I bought this model specifically because of the upgraded video adaptor. I'm very disappointed in the video playback peformance. Does anyone have suggestions for how to fix this?
