Boken left hinge on ENVY. This hinge has weak forever. I was always very careful with it and now it is broken, raising the left side of my computer by the power button. Warranty is expired I am sure.

Yesterday my keyboards above the number keys (the key for the sound and the others) , stopped working! I turned off and turned on again the laptop but nothing happened, how can this be fixed?

Why can't I update my Intel HD Grafics 4600?
I wanted to update my HD grafics 4600 today but i couldn't install it. First i tried it directly from Intel drivers then from HP Support Assistant. My current driver-version is: 10.18.15.4248
The latest driver-version is: 15.40.37.4835
Please help me to get the latest driver

Help! Laptop suddenly flickers discolored lines?
A couple days ago, I was typing up a paper on my HP TouchSmart Notebook using Google Docs, and then suddenly the screen flipped out. Out of nowhere, the screen became discolored and started flickering fine green and purple lines. The lines are both vertical and horizontal on top of each other, the vertical lines appearing more solid because they flicker less. About an inch or two from the top of the screen there's a bigger green line flickering the slowest. Everything above that line is normal on the screen, though. I've tried troubleshooting the problem a little. I've restarted it, both soft and hard, made sure it's set to its recommended resolution, checked for a display driver update in the device manager, ran a bios update I had on my HP support assistant, and even ran a system restore. I also tried pressing the screen and checking if the problem is external, but it's not. Someone please help me, thank you.

HP ENVY m6 1310sa Windows 7 Graphics not working correctly
Hi
Recently the laptops hard drive failed so i had to replace it
I lost the recovery partition so i decided to downgrade back to Windows 7
i have installed everything either manually or let windows update take care of the rest
The problem im having is the graohics drivers, i have used the AMD website feature that automatically detects your hardware and drivers.
All seems to install fine until i reboot, i get errors messages, device manager shows ! symbol on both and dxdiag says n/a on the graphics section (i have added photos)
Can anyone help me with this?

I need graphics drivers for my intel chipset and intel programs are of no help.
I recently reinstalled windows 7 on my laptop and now I can't run any video games and the aero theme isn't working, when I used troubleshoot it said to update video card drivers. Now I downloaded Intel chipset drivers and installed it, it didn't help the case nor does it appear in the list of installed programs even though the installation was successful.
Please help me because I am not an IT guy by any means.

USB C to VGA/HDMI for HP Envy 13-ad000nf
Hi,
When I bought my HP Envy 13-ad000nf I also bought an USB type C adapter (Aukey CB-C55) to have a Ethernet connexion and to connect a external display with HDMI or VGA port.
No matter which USB C port I choose, I did'nt achive to connect my other screen unlike the Ethernet work very well...
Can you help me I really need to do that for my work !

"THREAD STUCK IN DEVICE DRIVER" BSOD on Windows 10 x64
When I try to watch any online video I very oftenly get "THREAD STUCK IN DEVICE DRIVER" BSOD on my system. I tried to update video driver to last version (AMD Crimson 17.11.1) but it does not help.
When I play any game, even with good graphics, I'm not getting BSOD, I suppose due to discrete video card using by driver. Seems, I get an error when system tries to use internal video card. I cannot disable internal video card in BIOS and I also cannot let driver to use discrete video card for browser and some other apps (it's written it's locked for compatibility).
Sometimes when system is loading I see a black screen instead of loading animation, but without any BIOS signals; system is loading, notebook is working, but i see only a black screen until i turn notebook off then turn it on. It happens not so oftlenly as online video crashes, but often enough.

Touchpad seems to be depressed on the left side.
I am having difficulty left clicking and highlighting for copy and paste purposes. The touchpad has a slight slope to the left too. It is five weeks out of warranty. Can anyone suggest what I could do to fix it? Thank you.

HP Pavilion dv7t notebook display fail to show but only line of different colors
I own a HP Pavilion dv7t and it display fail to show anything but only line and different colors.
i try to connect it an external desktop display and make the video connection with the notebook but it display do not show any signal to the external display. i wish to know if it is only the display failure and then check if it is worthwhile to fix it?

DisplayPort (USB-C) no Signal
- 4K SAMSUNG TV is connected via HDMI 2.0 cable. This works fine, although 4K at 30Hz.
- 4K SAMSUNG TV is connected via HDMI to Type-C 3.1/DisplayPort cable. This does not work at all, it is as if there is no output, it won't even recognize when the HDMI cable is plugged or unplugged.

Black screen after login
My computer upon startup was showing the hp symbol then shutting down and restating in a loop. I was able to do a factory reset by using the escape key and then selecting F11. Now upon login I get a black screen so I opened the task mgr expecting a run once wrapper process but one wasn't listed. There is no restore point available so I'm stuck. What's next?

External monitor blacks out
I have an external monitor, connected t my pavilion 2x via hdmi, with a hdmi->min ihdmi convertor.
The monitor works ok for a few minutes, and then goes black, comes on again, repeats 2 - 3 times, then goes black and stays that way.
The monitor is still seeminglt receiving signal from the pavilion, as the monitor doesn't go into shut down mode and the laptop into single screen mode, until I remove the cable.
any help appreciated.

I've got a problem with my laptop... the touchscreen is working great.. till it goes to sleep... after that.. there's ghost touch all over the screen...
It's clearly a driver issue since the touchscreen is working fine before the computer goes to sleep..
but i don't see any driver update for it.. I have already updated my bios to the latest one...

how to turn on my keyboard light
hello ! i just boughht my pavilion dv5 from the pawn shop. everything seems to be working just fine but the backlight on my keyboard. ive doe some research but nothing ever comes up for my laptop in particular. my laptop is windows seven. the internet says to press f5 but that doesnt work. i dont have a keyboard symbo lon the left side of my space bar... i just need help to see my keyboard in the dark

Windows Hello Not Working
Hi,
I have the latest 2017 model of hp spectre x360 15t. My Windows Hello randomly stopped working. So when I restart my computer, it will show the looking for you, but the two red lights on the sides of the camera don't flash. It will stay on that screen because it doesn't start the recognition.
However, if I hit the power button in that state to turn off the computer and turn it on again, then the Windows Hello starts working again and I see the two red lights flash.
When I go to settings --> sign-in options and click improve recognition and sign-in with my pin, i see a black screen so the camera is not recognizing anything.
However, the webcam does seem to be working in general because when I go to Google Meet, and create a meeting, I can see my own face on the video.
How do I get the Windows Hello to work when I first turn on the computer without having to restart it twice? And is there a way to fix the Windows Hello?

Worst service experienced ever
I purchased HP Notebook 15-be004TU and it is still in warranty. I complained about facing problem last month when almost 1.5 months warranty was still left but Hp draaged the issue till today and now when there is only 7 days left in warranty, they are saying they can not replace the screen as it comes under the unintentional damage. Initially they were ready to change but after some discussion they dragged the issue and now finally after more than a month they are saying they can not provide anything. I talked more than five representative over the time, explained the same situaton many times but still left with nothing. I reported the issue 8 months ago but at that time that was minute, finally i thought to replace but now they have changed their policies suddenly because my laptop warranty is about to end. I was thinking about taking 2 years extended warranty but they only make fool out of us. I choose Hp laptop over Lenovo and Dell only because of their better customer service but in the end received worst service.
They have left with me no choice but to complain about their unprofessional and dictatorial behaviour to higher appalent authority.
