I've been through two HP USB-C docking stations on my new HP Spectre and neither of them will charge the laptop.  I have to plug in the 90w power adapter.  I've talked with HP, they were gracious enough to send me the second one but it does not work.  They continue to say it will work.  This is the 'official' latest response:

 

"I looked again and it shows it should be compatible and operational.

The only thing I can think of is if you can and are available to reach out to a local Best Buy and see if they have one that can work properly and we would be able to reimburse you."

 

All the marketing material I can find and pre sales support told me it would work but on a brand new device their respoisne is "reach out to a lcoal Best Buy".

Trying to update my crappy Intel(R) HD Graphics all day long, nothing works.

Here is some info:

Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU N3540 @ 2.16GHz  Windows 8.1 with Bing 64-bit 

Intel(R) HD Graphics

10.18.10.3958 (26-Sep-14)

Trying to update automatically, it says im running the best drivers already. Intel driver and support assistant says

im up to date, but lists Graphics (1), Intel(R) HD Graphics, installed driver x.x.x.3958,

Updated Version: x.x.x.4653

Release Date: May 23, 2017

Size: 132 MB

This download record installs Intel® Graphics Driver version 15.33.45.4653 for Windows 7*, Windows 8.1*, and Windows® 10. 
Option to download ? Nowhere. Finding version 15.33.45.4653 manually, downloading in zip and doing the whole igdlh64.inf thingy fails, either Windows uncompatible or this version not supported by this or that.

Also, here is the hardver id for my magnificent adapter,

My G7 Laptop has no display or HDMI display output. On startup the fan turns on and the power LEDs turn on. No caplock or numberslock LEDs. Black screen only. F10, Hard reset, opening and closing the laptop, and memory card removal and replacement all do nothing. Harddrive, battery and or power cord all seem to be functional. I can not find an authorized HP Service provider online or on yelp. The HP website isnt getting me anywhere either. What do I do next? How do I find an authorized local service/repair shop?

Just received a new zbook 15u g3 (m6g49av) and is really disappointed with the display. Bad viewing angles and washed out colours. When Comparing it to a one year old zbook 15 G2 the different is huge.

Is there anything that can be done to help this. Trying to find a Colour profile for the display but I don't really know which display it is. 1920x1080 non touch is all i know. Thinking that better colours would get a little better contrast that might help the viewing angles a little.

If this can't be solved by Monday I'll return it.

Hi everyone.

My 3 month old Omen has an issue.

When I was using it earlier this evening, it suddenly locked up, with blocky artifacts all over the screen.

I tried to reboot multiple times and nothing, just a black screen. Power light on, and a fan.
Eventually it did boot, but the Gfx resolution had dropped. When I logged in, about five minutes later, I had lines all over my screen. (artifacts again, but not blocky).
I updated the gfx drivers and all options in the HP support software and rebooted.

I cannot get it to boot at all now. Just power light and maybe a fan.

It did this twice when I first received the laptop, but has been OK since.

Can someone help please?

This is the latest 17 inch HP pavilion with the latest Windows 10 fall update. The trackpad is playing up. I have tried uninstalling and reintalling drivers. I restart and it works, then left and right click stop, then double tap to click. Right now I can move the cursor with the trackpad, but that usually stops working after a whiel too.

 

This all started when I tried installing precision trackpad drivers, but after uninstalling them and reinstalling the latest drivers through support assistant, I still get the same issues.

i installed far cry 3..but when i try to open every time it is saying "couldn't find suitable display settings"...whats the solution??

My laptop has the APU AMD A8-7410 with Radeon R5 graphics. I have downloaded the latest drivers from AMD and they are still WDDM 2.1 drivers. Intel and nVidia have already released WDDM 2.3 drivers for their products, wonder if AMD will do the same or can HP release it since they are the OEM?

Hi, I have been facing the screen flickering in my hp notebook since the day i bought it. The notebook's screen flickers whenever some devices are brought near to the laptop. I dont see any other model having the same issue and hence i am really disappointed with the product HP provided to me.

 

I have tried hard resetiing my notebook, re installing windows, updating BIOS, updating all the graphics drivers and chipset drivers, but it didnt help

 

So kindly provide me a solution other than the above mentioned.

Genuine answers are appreciated.

Hi guys. I purchased my laptop in December 2015 and now it's still under bundled warranty which will ends in December 2017 after I checked the warranty status . I purchased it from the Mobility Square sdn bhd at Low Yat Plaza. Now the laptop has a display screen issue, the screen is flickering badly. Do you guys know where can I send my laptop for repair ?

I purchased my touchscreen laptop in April. However, recently my touchscreen has stopped working. I've looked into every avenue as to fixing the problem. When looking into the pen and touch info it says that my computer is not a touchscreen, which it very much is.  How do I get my touchscreen back!?

The cooler works to the fullest, but the power button works even when the computer is off, and it works permanently. What is the problem??? w10 / 64bit.
The computer works poorly on games !!!!
