I have some trouble with the hp pavilion 22cwa 21.5in i bought yesterday. It lets me play my xbox on it but it keeps saying input signal out of range. Current mode 75.9kHz v=120Hz change mode to 1920x1080-60Hz. How do i do this?

HP Pavillion 550-153na - Driver Issue with Video and Sound in Windows 8.1
I've been setting up an HP Pavillion 550-153na specification as dual boot. I've replaced the original 2TB drive after it keeled over, with two SSD drives, a 1TB drive with Windows 10 and a second 256GB drive on which I've installed Windows 8.1.
The reason for the smaller drive is twofold:
1) In Windows 8.1 updates can be turned off, important due to a slow broadband connection; and
2) One of the users of the PC hates Windows 10 with a passion, preferring the tiled start screen of Windows 8.1.
The Windows 10 configuration is fine, with everything operating fine. This reporesents the "as sold" configuration.
On installing Windows 8.1, I managed to install all the drivers without complaint, with three exceptions:
a) The AMD Radeon R5 330 graphics card;
b) The integrated Intel HD graphics card; and
c) The integrated ALC3863-CG sound card with a Realtek driver.
In both Windows 8.1 and Windows 10, both graphic cards show up in the devices list and both need drivers. In the original Windows 10 configuration, both graphics cards are apparently in use but I'm not sure how.
I need to achive the same in Windows 8.1 and I'm gathering there is a piece of software I have missed to achieve this. I've installed the drivers, however, either one or other graphics driver seems to work but not both together. Can anyone assist?
The sound output should be via the HDMI port to the monitor, however, there is no playback via this method at the moment. I am guessing the graphics card driver issue needs to be resolved in order to allow playback to occur.
I've not come across a graphics hardware configuration like this before.

after looking for two days , i can't find a conclusive answer to where and what kind op active stylus i need to buy for my
HP Spectre 13 x2 Pro-pc ( F1N06EA )
I would like to buy an active pen to draw on my spectre , don't seem to find what model i need. I hasnt have to be a HP stylus per sé any would do , but a hp stylus would be my preferred go to.

i cannot install nvida graphics driver please help me
Hello there !
I got an HP EliteBook 8440p HP website with specs. This notebook contains a NVIDIA NVS 3100M graphic card as showed on HP website.
My problem is : I can't find the graphic card in Device Management (even in unknown devices) and can't install any drivers : from nVidia website neither drivers on HP website. It says "Nvidia graphics driver can not find compatible graphics hardware.".
The only driver working at the moment is Intel HD Graphics, but the integrated graphic card is really low on performance.
How may I find the nVidia graphic card on Windows and install drivers so I can play games with best results ?
Notice that I tried on Windows 7 & Windows 10 both on x64.

crashes
My system crashes on my new envy x360 15-bp107tx when I use it in tablet mode. Have screen lines on the screen and it will not respond until I do a reboot. every time I use it as a tablet this happens. Not happy as this is meant to be a x360 designed to work as a tablet or laptop

Touch screen problem. Looks like somebody clicking on my screen at the same spot
Every 5 minutes approximately, my touch scrwwn goes crazy. It looks like someone is clicking on my bottom left corner constantly. I cannot do anything different that put the pc to sleep. When it comes back it works again for other 5 minutes.
The Computer is NEW and this problem is absolutely anoying. Please help me to solve it.

Pen for HP Envy x360 15-bp104ng
Hi,
I just bought this laptop and it seems to not work with a Stylus with a small ballpoint sized tip. I tried a passive pen and a Bamboo Ink. The Bamboo is recognized and the buttons work but I can write on the display using Windows Ink apps.
Did I miss something or does this laptop simply not support this type of input?

hp pavilion 14 touchpad wont work
recently the touchpad hasn't been working, sometimes it will work fine but then other times it acts up and the mouse just completely freezes. Right or left clicking anything while it's frozen doesn't work either and sometimes the mouse just disappears all together. I haven't downloaded anything new either? When this happens I jjust have to press ctrl+alt+del and then put it to sleep but after maybe 1 minute or more of it being back on, the touchpad will just freeze again?

Spectre x360 compatibility with HP active pen
I think this has been asked over and over but cannot find the answer I need. I bought this computer for my wife thinking that she would be able to use a pen with it.
I looked at the HP website to find out which pen was compatible, here:

It tells me that the active pen is compatible with models spectre x360 41xx - I thought "thats mine" and ordered the active pen from the HP UK website, this pen here at this link:

I have received the pen and guess what? It doesn't work. Do I need a driver or a software update?
On a different note, I am not sure that they have sent me the correct pen (see photo). If you refer back to the link above, the pen they sent me looks like the active stylus that isn't compatible.

Stylus compatibility
I am trying to locate a stylus/pen that is compatible with my new hp envy x360 15-aq294cl. It is not listed in any of the compatibility charts, perhaps because it is too new. I need to add this accessory ASAP, but have seen that many of the x360's may not be compatible. Can anyone help?

Connect laptop to 4k / 2160p monitor, wrong resolution
Hi,
I recently bought the HP 15-bs106ng with a Intel I5-8250U with Intel UHD 620 iGPU.
I also have a 2160p@60 Hz LG27UD58P-B and tried connecting the laptop to it.
The problem is, that it does not display anything at 2160p @ 30Hz, I think the laptop has only HDMI 1.4 and does not have enough bandwith for 60Hz.
For now the monitor works at max 2560x1440 @60Hz, and if the refresh rate is lower than 60Hz, for example 30Hz, like at 4K, it also does not display anything. I tried on my PC if there is a problem with refresh rates, but 1080p, 1440p and 2160p all work at both 30Hz and 60Hz.
The CPU should be able to display 2160p@30Hz over HDMI, does anybody know what the problem could be?

Is there an update to wddm 2.2 for the intel driver for hp spectre x360?
Ive gotten a hold of an HP Windows Mixed Reality Headset and would love for it to work (barely) on my HP Spectre x360. Everything seems to be in order apart from the display driver, that runs wddm 2.1 and not wddm 2.2 as needed.
Intel has a new upgraded driver, but it doesnt work on the HP Spectre x360.
When will there be an update? Or is there a workaround?

I was searching for a stylus pen that is compatible with my laptop and I found through other forums that
HP Pen (Microsoft) 1CP24AV / Y0C43AV is the one that should work with my laptop. However, I can't seem to find it on the Canadian HP store, and I searched in other stores like best buy and I couldn't still find it. I would really appreciate if you can put a link where I can buy it online.
