Display Port Not Working

Trying to duplicate the display to an LED TV via display port to HDMI adapter.  The adapter is working, but no signal is being received.  SI the issue that I have already set up the laptop to extend its display to a VGA monitor?

I am having the exact same issue. I purchased my laptop in July. I think last time my touchscreen was working fine was maybe two weeks ago. I performed a software update through the HP update assistant I few days ago.  Yesterday I noticed that my touch screen no longer works. Same as you it says that Pen and Touch Screen are not available and my device manager lists a generic screen. Someone at HP should give some answers on why this is happening and release a patch to fix this if the steps on the forum do not work.

hello. i have hp envy x360 convertible,  model : 15-aq105ur. i can't turn on screen auto rotation. please help me to fix this issue. i searched on youtube, but couldn't find solution. i know where it should be, but this option is not. may it must be swithed on from regiters. please help me how to solve that. thank you

I only purchased the laptop 2 to 3 weeks ago (10/11/17. The laptop is fine. I love the build and it works in most instances. The touchscreen, however has a few, major, problems.

It should still be under warranty. The screen glitches after closing the laptop and reopening it without restarting the computer. In addition, colors are slightly off at the edges. The screen stopped recognizing my touch inputs, and instead, speradicallly preceieved multiple inputs throughout the screen. As time progressed like this without restarting the laptop, the faulty inputs become more intense. This made it practically impossible to shutdown or restart the laptop through on on-screen means (software). I had to hold down the hardware power button. After forcing the laptop to restart, things worked fine.

Steps: Turn on, Login (I use Windows Hello), open a program (it may be easiest to see the input if you open the onscreen keyboard), close the lid, wait (waitings isn't really needed), open the lid, wake the device, let Windows Hello log you in, and wait to see the kaos.

No error messages appear. I have not edited the drives. I have only allowed Windows to update since I've had the device.

Internet connection doesn't seem to make a difference.

The device has not been dropped or damaged in any way. It is new. I don't know about the happenings durring the delivery process.

 

I checked the warranty this morning to prep to request a fix and all was well. I was excited to get my laptop fixed. I took a picture of the screen that confirms my warranty with my phone. I can submit the picture. I had to leave so i closed the lid. The usual happened so I restarted my devce. When I loaded the warranty page again, though, the site said my warranty had expired.

 

I need help with both problem.

This laptop is fresh but needs a fix. I need this for school.

Lost bightness with Windows 10 upgrade

When I upgraded to Windows 10,  It seems I've lost control over the display. I am able to use the brightness hotkeys however no matter how high the brightness is adjusted the screen is  still very dark. When I reboot in safe mode and go into device manager I notice Generic PNP montior has  yellow triangle .

 Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

My thunderbolt 3 port is not detecting any thunderbolt device. In thunderbolt software Untitled.png

I know the video card is integrated into the processor. Is there anyway to figure out what the relative specs for it would be in relation to an Nvidia card and driver?

Buongiorno,

Ho un pavilion dv6 del 2009.

Da qualche tempo, cerco di accenderlo, la macchina parte ma non si accende in monitor… rimane completamente nero. Non ci sono lampeggiamenti di led (sia quello sopra la tastiera numerica, sia quello del caps lock). Riesco a farlo funzionare solo dopo una buona mezzora, quando il notebook si surriscalda, la ventola lavora di brutto.. allora lo spengo, tolgo il cavo di alimentazione, premo per una trentina di secondi il tasto di accensione, ricollego il cavo di alimentazione, spingo l’accensione… a questo punto ci sono 2 lampeggiamenti di led e il monitor si accende… Questo nella maggior parte dei casi… altre volte… quando sento che la ventola lavora, spengo e riaccendo il pc fino a che parte… ma passano delle mezzore…. Cosa potrei fare secondo voi per far partire questo benedetto monitor assieme al pc?

Hello guys and gals, 

 

my dv7 3111ea is dead apart from flashing white led beside power adapter input on side of notebook.

 

been on mains supply constantly so not sure of battery condition in any case it won't fire up.

 

was working ok until I had 2 brief power cuts as is the norm in Thailand.

 

Adapter plug shows 19.4volts inner contact and 12.8volts center pin

 

any help would be appreciated.

Refresh rate of laptop's display

Hi, 

 

As far I searched, each display has a different refresh rate, which can be checked  in (Control panel-display-Monitor tab-Advanced settings). This refresh rate is directly dependent a game FPS.
If so, can someone tell me what's the refresh rate of  "HP OMEN CE-072TX" and "HP ENVY K-203TX".

this is new laptop . about 3 months, it was with windows 8.1. i upgraded to window 10 . suddenly i get two problems with my laptop. first a horizontal green line on the bottom of laptop. and power key problem. if i press power key for once it does not stat. i've to press long time then it start even sometimes not.  sometime it start but with black screen . i don't know what have i do. plz suggest me anythings

I am Facing these problem:

1) Hinges 
2)Camera/mike

3)keyboard

4) mouse pinching / scrolling 

                        I am PRATIK , i brought this HP ENVY 6 1002TX for almost ₹ 50K in year 2012.And just After 2 months I face the hinges problem ,it took 10-15 days to resolve  it . After another 5 month same problem occured, and  get repaired in another 15 days.  After one and half year i need to replace my keyboard, (still i facing the problrm )and this is still continue from  5 years. I did this repaire 4-5 times , Now I am really fade up, I mean ,What the hell , How many times We have to pay FOR YOUR  MISTAKES.. Yes its Your mistke HP . You let us pay you for your fault. I say this because it has reason , I read so many post , complaints, regarding this .  If you are receiving complaints about same issue from many consumers, you must accept it's faulty product , and must replace them all , or reimburse us.

                     I am facing this latest problem (of hinges)from last year, i didn't repair it, who will give money  evrytime  for the same cause. Attaching few photos with faulty hinges

There is an item In BIOS - Settings (configurations) "hybride graphics", that makes 2 videocards (discreet and integrated) work in the mode "dual graphics" . By turning this item off works integrates graphics only. How can I make each videocard to work separately without mode "dual graphics"? When this mode works laptop misbehaves, shows an error (blue screen, hangs up) . Is it possible to add in BIOS Settings an item, that makes a work of 2 videocards possible from each other independent.

Dual screen with Laptop not working

Hello,

 

I have two ASUS screens which I plan to connect to my HP Pavillion laptop.

 

I bought a USB 3.0 to VGA converter and downloaded the driver to my laptop. That connects perfectly and I now have two screens working (my laptop screen and monitor). However, when connecting my third screen, I plug in my HDMI/VGA (as I have both) directly to my laptop but it goes back and freezes. If I force shut down on my laptop and switch it on again, the screens remain black and I can no longer use any of them. I have to take my battery out of my laptop out, disconnect my screens for the laptop to work again. Once again I can plug in a another screen but it only limits me to two.

 

Is there a way I can connect my third screen without it freezing and blacking out the others?

I've tried looking for driver updates but I can't seem to find anything.

All Fn/Hot keys are not working... were fine this morning!`

Hi, I had this issue once before ages ago but I think i just followed an online guide and got a new install of the hotkey driver.  this could be wrong as it has been at least a year since this happened.

 

So the issue is my hotkeys/Fn keys stopped working this afternoon.

 

They were ok this morning.

 

I booted my laptop this afternoon and it didn't start properly.  So after a few mins i used a long press of the power button to stop it and then restarted it.  Now it boots fine and operates fine except the whole strip of keys along the top are no longer doing what they are supposed to (f7 for example now offers to turn on "caret browsing" instead of turning down the volume. Most do nothing...

 

I went looking for the driver since the crash on boot could have corrupted the hot key driver, but i cannot find a download using the HP website!

 

I looked through all the driver options available and none of them appear to be for hot keys. 

 

A lot of the forum posts I saw with similar issues also referred to downloading the hot key drivers from HP.

 

I cannot find a hot key driver on the support pages.  there are 3 drivers in the keyboard section of the driver support page.  2 are for the touchpad and one is for wireless button support!

 

can someone tell me where i can get a copy of the HP Hot Key drivers for a 15-g094sa please?  or tell me what else the issue may be?

 

I can use the volume if i use the task bar control, and the actual keys are being detected, there is a piece of software failing here I am sure!

Edit: I want to add that I used the HP troubleshooting page and IT said go to the support page for my device and download the "Hot Keys Driver"!!!  which I cannot do since I can't see a "Hot Keys Driver" on that support page!!! :/

Windows don't stay on the proper monitor

After sleep or hibernate, the windows that I had put on the extended display have moved back to the main display. This didn't happen with my zBook G2. I have the latest graphics drivers installed (for both cards).

Laptop Hardware issue - 3 yr warranty but site says expired

Hello There, 

 

I have the above laptop that has a issue where the top half of the screen works normally but the bottom half stops responding and has lines showing. Not all the time but is happening more often, I have several photos of the issue, which I have attached. 

 

I checked my serial number online and it says my warranty expired April 2016 but I got the laptop through  Salary Sacrife scheme from Let's Connect which comes with 3 years HP extended warranty

 

 

The HP web site keeps sending me around in circles as it wants me to pay for repairs or getting into touch with HP.

I got in touch with Let's Connect and they confirmed the warranty is with HP.
