is there a driver for my hp 15 f387wm that is opengl 4.5 capable. right now its 4.4
I put the notebook in place, I started to use it after a long period of time and when I touch the touchpad, the cursor moves in random directions quickly and does not stop until I insert an external mouse. I tried replacing the touchpad with another (used), now it moves just to the touch and in the correct directions but shoots quickly and makes it impossible to use it. How can I check if the problem is the only touchpad or motherboard?
My DVD player stopped working about 6 months ago. I would put a dvd in and it would spin up and stop. I dont use it that often so it was no big deal. Tried to play dvd not long ago, well now the tray will not open. I used the paper clip trick, hit the eject button, nothing. I took it out of the computer thinking I may have a dvd hung up in there. There wasn't one. Tried to pry it apart while holding the eject button. nothing. Went to search button, clicked on computer DVD does not show up in coputer. Its like it has been deleted . I'm not a whiz at this but I'm not illiterate either. I would like to try and get this resolved though. I push on the eject button now no lights no nothing. I can buy a new dvd tray/player but if its something else I would rather not throw parts at it that wont fix it. Thanks Will
Image on my 15: touch Envy laptop screen is POOR (washed out/faded/white) from time to time. Fix appears to move screen and/or press on sides of LCD until display returns to proper format for some time (mouse is also inactive when screen display goes bad).
Any fixes?
Thanks for help...jnh11
I just purchased 3 days ago a HP Notebook - 15-bs077nr. I saw in the description it has a touch screen. After unpacking it and updating things I couldn't get the touch screen feature to work. The next day I did the chat thing with HP and after watching the tech try a miriad of things and decided it needs a repair. After trying to get $25 to send me a shipping box from me I asked to return it to where I bought it. I'd rather do that than do without a laptop. I just received the box and I decided to search whether this thing really has a touch screen. Everything from HP says yes. But many of the review sites say no.
Does anyone no if this thing has a touch screen or not? I am starting to think it's a typo or a false feature advertised.
If it's not equipted I feel cheated, if it is it has to go back.
Anyone have this model and the screen is a touch screen?
PS-I did the test in the forum and Windows reports no touch screen present. Did I say I feel cheated if this is true?
i have installed windows 7 successfull after trying several methods and advices from HP Support. But I am having trouble with graphics driver and softwares like thes ones
need some help please
The half of my display is dim compared to the other half, I do think the display is broken. What do I have to do to fix it?
In advance of your response.

With a HP ENVY x360 Convertible 13-y0XX, an you use a different resolution for the additional monitor that is different from the 4k that is native with the laptop monitor. I have a ViewSonic 24" HDMI that works fine as a second monitor, but i cannot get it to display at 1080 resolution - it stays at the 2160 resolution, which doesn't fit the screen. Any ideas?
I need help. The auto orientation function that was the main reason I purchased this HP product is now gone. I am knowledgeable and have done research with no success. Looking for help please.
Any time I make a video call, whether Skype or Messenger, after exactly 30 minutes the audio quits working and the computer shuts down. The laptop doesn't seem hot, so it's not overheating, and all my sleep and hibernate timers are set to never. Any ideas?

When pressing any key on the keyboard of my brand-new Pavilion notebook, I am unable to click or move the cursor using the touchpad. The touchpad works well otherwise.
My HDMI port was working perfectly fine a few days ago. Now, when I connect my PC to my TV I get a message on the TV saying "Unsupported signal. Please check the device output". I think I have tried everything. Drivers are up to date, I've tried changing the resolution of the display, extending and duplicating the dekstops, etc.
The HDMI cable works fine with other devices (laptop or camera) that I've connected to the TV. I've tried all 4 HDMI ports on the TV but no video signal with my PC. I can hear audio and the TV is recognised by the laptop. It shows up on the Intel control panel.
And like I said, it was working fine a few days ago. Only thing new is that I installed the Windows Fall Creator's Update, I don't know if that had anything to do with it.
I'm at a loss here, I don't know what else to try.
Any ideas please..?
