I bought an Hp Pavillion AU006TX..Second day of purchase I found my notebook's screen flickering and it was uncertain,it occurs may be one time or two times a day. Called the tech support no they told me to ON it in BIOS mode and it. was flickering in BIOS mode also so they said it's an hardware prblm we will send an engineer.Engineer arrived and in first half hr he said there is no prblm bt after some time flickering occurred and he said there may be some problem.I demanded DOA BT they denied and said there is no hardware issue drivers has to be updated so I got it replaced from my dealer and the previous notebook when checked drivers were already updated.Now after 4-5days again the same issue was found in my new notebook.Now service people says window or drivers has to be updated and these are already updated.They took the notebook and after two days returned saying there is no issue however the tech support says there is hardware problem as screen is flickering even in BIOS mode. The case has been closed and the problem is not solved yet.

Whenever i turn the webcam on .. Omegle or some other sites,, even skype.. the system shows blue screen and and these errors..(spucbv x64) ( threat excetion not handled)

My uncle recently got me an HP Notebook 14-am089tu from Melbourne (Australia). It came preinstalled with Windows 10, but I replaced it with Linux (Ubuntu at first, and switched to Fedora now). My product has 8GB of RAM and an integrated Intel HD Graphics 405 Graphics Card. I noticed that the GNOME desktop environment wasn't working that smoothly for me. The animations used to lag. After extensive research, I found the cause. I found that the GNOME desktop environment needs a minimum of 512mb video memory, but my Graphics Card was only being allowed to use 256mb of RAM. I tried seeing if there were any settings in the BIOS to increase the memory given to the graphics card, but there weren't any. What can I do about this? I really like this laptop, but this one problem is bugging me as it's really taking away the smoothness of my desktop.

hi i istalled the last synaptics driver file name "sp81891" and also i change the option of smartsense and i put all at minimum but i still have the problem ... you know if keep press any buttons of my keybord i can't move the cursor and then when i leave the buttons i can move again ... there is any solution ???

Dear Concern,  This is in connection with the Micro Computer HP 2IN1 X2-12B100 13-6Y30/4/12 has been taken on November 10, 2016. which was last product they have sold to me.I am regular Customer of HP.I have taken more than 15 pieces HP products last couple of years. since I purchased this model HP 2IN1 X2-12B100 13-6Y30/4/12, I found the screen part was not balancing well. Normally while using on my lap/computer table the upper portion of the computer which is the screen part was not balancing well/properly. it is always falling down.It has been falling more than several times and day by day broken its screen. Kindly provide the nearest address of HP service center where I can able to show my issue physically,                                                                  Waiting for your kind and urgent response.Would be highly grateful to you.

I’ve recently gotten the computer about 2 weeks ago and I restarted and updated my computer and everything was fine. Now, a few hours later, when I turn on my computer only a black screen with my cursor appears. I’ve shut it down and turned it back on and the same thing keeps happening. I even waited an hour before turning it back on again.

i am trying to do my school work on my new laptop and was wondering what active stylus do i need to get to get the best use out of it. i got the blackweb one from walmart and its not working to good. need to no what to get so i can get the most out of my stylus

Have owned this computer less than a year and do not use it very often. Noticed today there is a large crack in the screen's top left corner. Spent over 2k on this computer and expected some longevity with it. I will never purchase another HP product again. After reading thrugh this forum, appears this is an all too common problem. No accidents/no falls/no compression...just cracked. If you make the mistake of purchasing this unit-PLEASE BUY ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE or put it in some sort of armored steel screen protector. It is not a matter of whether the screen will break...it is when...it will happen. Be prepared for a quote of 659.99 with taxes to repair. What a joke?? Horrible customer service. I used to love HP...never never never again!! Hoping we get a class action lawsuit filed against them soon. Count me in!!

Hi, just wondering if any owners of the HP 15-au164na are around? Just purchased (still boxed as its a gift and don't want to oprn it up) and the official specs list the screen as 1366 X 768 however on the box it states it has a - "15.6" Diagonal Full HD LED Display" so wondering which is wrong - specs on the box or specs on the web? The other specs on the box all match (and model number etc is all correct). 

 

Can't really find any reviews other than a few random customer reviews and suspect no one has actually checked the screen res and just assumed it is sub full HD as advertised. Or maybe this is a later revision with different screen?

 

Obviously as a last resort can just open it up and check but this is a gift so really want to leave it sealed and not have to go through set up etc just to check the res :/ Anyway of checking the screen res without having to go through all the initial laptop set up in case thats what I end up needing to do?

Everytime i try to install new version of drivers my graphics card says "code 43 error" in device manager. So after that i always roll back to old driver (268.47) from HP site which works fine. I found old thread for the same problem but there is no solution and no responce from HP support. Need help with making new drivers work.

I tried all things from HP support assistant, also i wrote to Nvidia support and tried all the things they suggested, nothing worked.

 

From Nvidia support:

I have enough information to submit the bug and have our quality lab see if they can replicate the failure. The challenge is finding the exact notebook model. We will try with other notebooks with the GT 520M and see if we can replicate the failure. But if the failure is specific to this HP Pavilion g6-1258er then that could be a challenge to investigate further. For such failures our development team will need a failing system to debug the issue. In the meantime I'd recommend you report the issue to HP as well and see if they can replicate the failure in their lab, since I'm sure they have the exact system to test. if HP is able to confirm the failure then they can submit a bug directly to NVIDIA with the failing hardware so we can debug the issue. But again we will try to see if we can replicate the failure in our lab.

Hi there,

I have a HP Pavilion DV6 from 2010 running windows 7 with 4gb ram, AMD Phenom II Prosessor and built in AMD graphics. This computer is over 7 years old but it is still in good shape, i have this problem from when i first got it in 2010 where if i play Counter Strike: Global Offensive, after about 30 mins the screen will go black then go into a type of static thing. Can anyone help me fix this? This has been a recurring problem for the past 7 years. It used to do the same thing on Minecraft but that is stopped prior to this. Also i have not cleaned the fans since i got the laptop.

Hi guys,

 

Since I upgraded to windows 10 education I am unable to connect my second screen to my laptop.

 

The HDMI cable that I am using is fully functional with other devices and works with my second screen and another PC.

 

Im concerned that I cannot see the HDMI port in the drivers list. But ive got a feeling it is still working because when my laptop is connected to my second screen and the second screen turns off the screen on my laptops flickers - but nothing happens i.e. the second screen does not connect.

 

Do I need to download a specific driver? Can anyone please help?

Hello hp. I upgraded my laptop OS, windows 7 ultimate to windows 10 pro. I have a problem: i can't switch between my amd radeon hd5450 card and my intel graphics hd 3000. I could switch on windows 7 but not on windows 10. I don't want to downgrade my OS to 7 or 8 because i need 10( more updates) I installed the drivers but it says that i have radeon 5000 series, not an exactly name of my video card. I don't need my hd3000 if that's matter, i upgraded my bios too but i can't fix my amd radeon card, i can't play a game or a movie on a good quality. please help me asap

The image quality of the built-in webcam on my laptop is pretty poor.  I have already tried adjusting the camera settings and using the HP Webcam Troubleshooting FAQ guide that has been linked to in other threads, however, none of these options fix the issues.

 

I am operating with good lighting and using the highest quality image selection in the settings.   I've attached an example picture below.

So I can start my computer fine Like it shows the logo and the login page but once it tries logging in for a second it likes goes black but I can see mouse. So once it logs in it breaks. I tried taking battery out etc but nothing is working. Help please! I dont have any money for another laptop.

I have a brand new laptop, that came installed with Windows 10. After a brief fling with Windows 7, I decided to revert back to Windows 10. 

 

The HDMI doesn't work. 

 

I have  checked my graphics driver:  Intel (R) HD Graphics 620, it is up to date and apparentely working properly.

 

I have tried the win key + P and tried all the different options.

 

I have tried various options in the HD graphics control panel (right click whilst on desktop, select: intel graphics settings)

The HD graphics control panel must be detecting the projector I'm trying to use with the HDMI port. I know this because it has the projector brand name listed in some of the options.

 

I have tried disabling and then re enabling the graphics driver.
