I have Ubuntu 16.04 installed in my laptop. When the whole charge drained out and I restarted my laptop, it shows that the system is running in low graphics mode and we need to reconfigure it ourself.
I could temporarily boot with the help of FailsafeX. After doing so, I am not able to put my laptop in sleep mode as again the low graphics mode issue pops up. What is the possible permanent solution to this?

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
My OS is Windows 10 with the last driver for NVIDEA Quatro K1100M, i'm surfed with internet and posible solution it is restar the BIOS but my BIos had a password can't you help my for resset my password and try taht solution
The other solutions is update the BIOS but i'cant enter to my BIOS

Have all the latest drivers, updates for my gpu and from hp and for windows.
This problem just occured randomly today out of nowhere.
Already tried to restart, did nothing.
When I tryed to connect my laptop to TV via HMDI the screen when black so I found a way off getting it back connecting it via VGA cable to the same TV, but now or I use my laptop connected to the TV (TV doesnt need to be turned on) or the screen will go black.
Can anyone help me please

I am using the 2 display ports of the docking station in order to connect 2x HP Prodisplay P242 monitors.
I would also like to connect a tv (which has both VGA and HDMI ports)
the docking station only has an empty VGA (since i am already using the 2xdigital display ports). Can i use this to connect the '3rd screen'?
Or, can i use the laptop's own inbuild digital display port to connect to 3rd screen?

It occured randomly since this morning. I tried restarting and a system recovery.

I had hoped to resolve this issue through customer service and they were not helpful, so I am hoping someone has another solution.
Today I went to open my laptop, which has always remained on the desk, is not jostled or moved. I noticed that there is a large crack located by the left hinge. The only that changed was we finally experienced a fall in temperatures. Today I contacted service and was told that the screen is not covered under warranty. But a quick google search shows that there are a number of these complaints already noted. Some people have been lucky enough to have HP step up and correct their design flaw most of us are left to address our names to yet "another" issue with the HP Spectre. It's a shame because I spent a lot of money on a laptop that was made with apparently made with egg shells and support's only answer is spend more money and we will fix it, or fix it yourself here's a link to do it.
I've never been so disappointed with a product in my life. I can only hope HP does something, or all the users who have been burned by this issue in the past get together.
I noticed that the screen pointer(arrow) would not respond to finger movement on the pad. Two days later, I noticed a crack in the screen. What options do I have in getting the touchscreen repaired? The unit was purchased at Best Buy in February 2016. I can use with a USB mouse without a problem, and the touch screen works, however, I do not want it to get worse. What process should I use to get it repaired?
I have a startech.com USB-C port replicator, with two Acer monitors connected. When accessing the display options, i do not see a graphic with mutliple montiors, and Windows does not detect any external monitors. The dock is supplying power, and the mouse works when plugged into the dock.
Basically, I've been transporting my laptop a lot more recently and one evening, after a long trip, I booted it and it went to a dark screen. I tried a hard reset but that didn't work.
In the end, I followed the instructions on the HP website to press F10 until you reached the BIOS setup screen, then pressed F5 and enter to reset the BIOS. This fortunately resolved the problem and my laptop screen started working as normal.
However, since then, I have noticed that the colour would start to become distorted on the screen and occasionally quite fuzzy. At first this would happen intermittently or only when the laptop first came on, but now it's constant. The colours aren't all wrong, but it is distracted. Please see photos above for reference.
I'm not sure whether it's a problem with the screen or with the laptop itself. I'm just looking for some advice on whether it can be fixed and how to fix it, or whether it can't be fixed so that I can plan on buying a new laptop.

the last time the compueter updated itself it shut down and when it came back up this dot was on the screen.
