Laptop turns on and off repeatedly
My laptop turns on and shows the hp logo and then goes grey and then it turns off and it does this repeatedly. Can't login neither can I use it.

Graphic Driver update problem
After updating the graphics driver, I cant change resolution of any game. I tried every game. Now its locked to 1366x768.
But when I rollback to old driver, it works. What I cant understand is that this I used the new drivers for a while and the problem suddenly came. Here are screenshots with the driver version. Nothing above version 4471 allows me to change resolution now. These are examples of a game.
I did full anti-virus scan. It didnt solve.
I doubt if the drivers arent installed properly. But I used same driver setups before. Please help me!

AMD Graphics driver Black screen issue
I have AMD radeon 7670m hd 1gb in my laptop which i bought like 5 years ago. When i bought it , they installed all the drivers and everything worked fine but after I switched to windows 8 , drivers never installed and installation ended up with a black screen or an error , and when I tried to install it in Windows 7 again , they didnt installed properly. Any fix for this issue, I am currently using Intel HD drivers and in Device Manager , AMD Radeon 7600 series shows up in Display Adapters.

hp dv7-7233nr continuous blinking caps lock, solid red on f12 no display
The laptop was working fine after the disassembly.
I simply changed the thermal paste on it cause its heating up a lot.
I've been doing this for a long time now and I can assure you guys that nothing was broken. Every plugs were on the right plug.. all the screws are in place.
Forums says that its the cpu cause its blinking continuously but I highly doubt that.. I've read forums after forums and still havent got a fix.
Tried the f8 thing.. f8 left mouse click.. hold power button without the cmos battery.. with it.. etc.. please help!

Cracked Spectre Pro Screen
Afternoon all,
I am interested to know if anyone has had issues with the Spectre XT Pro screen cracking? I hadn't noticed the crack at all until the sun caught it one day. I am really disappointed as my old Spectre lasted 5 years (still use it now!) and felt quite robust for a light laptop.
I have owned this laptop less than 6 months and took the 3 year care package, but now I am really concerned that the build quality is not as good as the last one. I carry it in a the official protector and in a laptop bag and it only goes between home and the office, so light movement and use. At an outlay of £1400 I can't help but feel I could have spent it on something stronger.
Is it expensive to get an official screen replacement? The display is perfect otherwise and I use it as a dual screen.
Any advice, experience of these laptops or help would be appreciated

Can I even use a stylus
Is my computer compatiable with any kind of active stylus? Is it just touch. I have the settings to setup and change my pen settings but I can’t find any active styluses that match.

cursor jumping to top corner
i ve bought a brand new hp envy x360 laptop 17 days ago and reach 2 me 7 days ago in ethiopia from usa bestbuy. firstly it was very good one bt after 3days use and installing my basic application, its starts 2 bug me with z cursor jumping to top corner nd showing flickering sign nd opens up a new folder without my consent.
i try almost all ur advice from the forums
like 1. update all z drivers
2. calibrate
3. tried all z options in z snap to options
4. decrease z speed of the cursor
5. format z pc bt still there
pls guys what else shd i do cuz i ve paid more than 850 nd stuck with this pc
if i return it, it will be a long process 4 me, so pls tell me what 2 do.

Enabling NVidia Graphics over Intel Graphics on HP ENVY Notebook PCs Explained
I have been struggling to try and enable the NVIDIA GFORCE GT 740 M on the HP ENVY 17 NOTEBOOK PC. In other words, disable the on-chip Intel graphics and use the Nvidia.

It is titled: HP PCs - NVIDIA Optimus Graphics with Integrated Intel Graphics (Windows 10, 8, 7)
In it, it describes how the chips do not work independantly, but co-operate together to improve performance depending on need. By right-clicking on the desktop, you will see graphics options if you have installed the drivers for both chip sets. Graphics Properties... Graphics Options... NVIDIA Control Panel.
If you read the article, select the NVIDIA Control Panel and choose how you want to utilitze the NVIDIA Chip. The Intel is energy efficient, the NVIDIA is utilized for graphic intensive functions. Choose when and where you want to use the NVIDIA or INTEL depending on your applications. That simple. Don't forget to have both chips enabled in Device Manager.
Just wanted to share, with a short answer and links.

HP Spectre x360 Spectre 15 inch 4K display flickers with black horizontal bars appearing
Brought this laptop for around 6 months now, it was perfect until recently.
After boot up, the screen flickers and black or staticy bars appear horizontally. Some bars cover 1/4th of the screen some are very thin. They all seem to be random in timing and placement.
The condition worsens randomly by flickering that particular section rapidly, and are at its worse when plugged in.
The condition can be temporarily smoothen by changing the Battery settings to High Performance via Intel HD Graphics Control Panel, but can only slows the flickering down for a short amount of time.
I have tried various methods suggested on the HP forums :
> Update/Rollback BIOS
> Update Graphic Drivers (Both Intel Graphic 620 and NVIDIA 980m)
> Full hard reset
> Change the refresh rate from 60 to 40 hz (Makes the entire screen flicker)
> Change the Battery/Performance settings
> Run Firmware testing on video/monitor (Passed)
None of the above has worked, in fact it is getting worsen slowly, thus I am suspecting the laptop hardware associated with the monitor is degrading quickly, which makes no sense as I always kept the laptop in a cool and clean area and have not dealt any physical damage to it such as dropping/hitting etc.
I really like this model , but seeing it starting to degrade after 6 month and cannot be fixed is kind of heartbreaking, thus I would like to hear other successful solutions for this, as I do not want to worsen the laptop further with fruitless solutions

I saw HP Pavilion Power 15-cb012na equips with a 4K screen this time. What screen exactly does HP Pavilion Power 15-cb012na equip with this time (the feature part only say it is 39.6 cm (15.6") diagonal 4K IPS anti-glare WLED-backlit (3840 x 2160)? How's the colour ?

AMD Radeon R7 M440 driver
Hello. we both 15 notebooks to our office.
the problem is thet no mater how we tried - there no chance do install video drivers on the curectly.
from amd http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/mobile?os=Windows%2010%20-%2064 windows dettected it how r7 340. from uor site - https://support.hp.com/ua-ru/drivers/selfservice/hp-15-ba000-notebook-pc-series/10862317/model/12293586 it is r7 m485x.
in both cases - it have inuse with performence - the video is artifacted or in low quality.
plese give us some advice

Spectre x360 13" Penlag

It´s a known issue. When I use the stylus pen the touchscreen stops working for a while (a few seconds)
There has been a driver release this year(2017 thats supposed to relieve this problem for the 15" model.
How come this update has´nt been released for the 13" model? I have the same issue!

Can not adjust the brightness on HP 15-f004dx after downgrading from Win8 to Win7
After downgrading HP 15-f004dx from Win8 to Win7Pro 64bit, I can no longer adjust the brightness by pressing on Fn+F2 or Fn+F3. Any suggestions on how to lower the brightness, will be really appreciated. The screen is on highest brightness, and it is really hard to look at the screen for a long time. Many thanks

VI Pearl camera not functioning
I have a probook 470, bought for a VI student at our school. We have a camera for a document reader system. The camera does not function when hooked to this laptop. It works fine on other laptops and desktop PCs. How do I report this issue to HP so they can fix it under warranty?

Screen Issue
Hello, I was using my laptop all perfectly fine, turned it off and went out for the day. I come back to see a big yellow thing on it once I turned it on. It seems like the pixels died, wasn't a hit or a anything. I can't add any pictures here, but I contacted HP support on twitter, they sent me here and said it'd hardware issue
