Hi all I have an HP Compaq Presario CQ42 320-CA. I installed Windows 7 64-bit on it and then upgraded it to Windows 10 64-bit. There is a built-in camera that is not and, from what I can recall, have never been recognized. Actually that's not entirely true. I got the laptop used from a family member, and at the time they had Windows 10 as well and I remember the camera worked. For example, I could make video calls using Skype. I then replaced Windows with Linux for 2 years, but have recently gone back to Windows for work. After upgrading to Windows 10 (again), I downloaded all the software drivers from HP's site and installed them. There was no driver for the camera. What can I do? I'm not sure why the camera worked in the past when I first got the laptop. Is there a BIOS setting I need to enable to have Windows recognize the camera? Any help is greatly appreciated.

While I'm watching a video on chrome, it stops and says could not download video,
This just started recently while veiw a video, it stop and then says player err timed out. Another message says video could not be downloaded. It happens at different times while watching a video. It could start at two minutes or 16monutes.

Hotkey stopped working
Hello Everyone!
Quickly to the point: all the hotkeys (all of them, brightness, volume, planemode) suddenly stopped working, without any clear cause behind it, meaning I haven't installed any new software recently (> 1 month). After I realized I both checked new HP updates via HP support assistant and installed them + I went in the BIOS and tried to Disable and re-Anable the function key status. Neither of these things worked.
Any suggestion?

Replacing screen on HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-p223nr
Hi everyone.
My son has this above mentioned laptop. The other day the cover over the screen cracked in the back where the arm meets it. . Does anyone know how this can be replaced? Do I have to order an entire screen, and will that come with everything I need? IF so, does anyone know the part number, and does it go by color as well? His is blue.

system video memory not showing
hello guys....... i am new to using an hp 2000 machine. i am operating on a windows 7 32bits.......after installing driverpack solutions, its failing to show the system video memory. the dedicated video memory is showing alright though. and i would also be grateful to know if i could run an nvidia graphics on it. last, does it support PRO 2017? Am a gaming type.

monitor and keyboard problem
my pc monitor have a problem suddenly... I see that the monitors lower site have a scretch line horizontally.. and sometime full monitor will be fade and scratch then i off the pc and after few minutes i re open the pc than i see that monitor is normal bt scratch is always still.. & my 2nd question my laptops some key board button in the left side like(ctrl,A,Tab,1)this buttons do not work... so i will ask you what can i do for this two problem..

HP Notebook - 15-ay102tu screen flickers on windows 10
I just bought HP Notebook - 15-ay102tu , my issue is, on windows 10 my screen flickers. The flickering reduces if I play a video. Another unusual thing is that the screen started flickering after I updated my display driver. Not updating the driver is not an option because the display looks very bad on the default driver.
Aditional information:
The display doesnot flicker at all on linux.
Display doesnot flickers on windows 8.1 but I cannot keep using windows 8.1 since HP only provides drivers for windows 10.
I believe that the issue is not caused by any application (As I didn't install any application).

My laptop has a black screen to put the issue bluntly.
I have tried as many online software solutions as I can find but I am now running out of ideas.
It worked fine until a few days ago, when I closed the screen whilst I went for a drink, and when I came back and reopened it, it was not working.
It works with an external monitor and when it has powered down and had a full recharge, it powers on & then the blue HP logo shows up, before returning to a black screen.

HP Envy 13 (2017 - ad012na) Motion Blur / Ghosting Issue
Hi there,
I recently purchased the brand new HP Envy 13 2017 notebook (ad012na to be precise). Upon receiving the laptop though straight away I noticed the ghosting/motion blur which occurs on fast moving objects on the display.
It's unrelated to power, and it's constant. Doesn't matter what I'm doing on the laptop, this is a physical display related thing. I've tried updating drivers etc, nothing seems to change it which makes me think it's just the panel used.
It's particularly frustrating in games, but it's off-putting just navigating around Windows or scrolling fast. Some people probably wouldn't notice it, but once you notice it it's impossible to ignore.
I was wondering if it's normal or if I have a faulty panel?

Nvidia GTX 1050 driver cause Windows 10 UI lags
I did a clean install of Windows 10 1703 on my laptop and I noticed that installing the Nvidia Gtx 1050 drivers cause the unlock screen to freeze for half a second on enter pressed, the volume control to freeze half a second on the first change and the uac popup to freeze for the same amount of time.
This only happens after the Nvidia drivers are installed.
Tried with different versions, OEM (HP) included. Same results.
What could it be?

HP Active Stylus Driver
I just brought the HP Active Stylus from HP. I have the HP Envy 360 (2 in 1) and the pen I just bought is not working on it. I have checked compatability lists and they all say that this stylus should work on my computer so I went online to try and download a driver and it requires a product or serial number. I have had no problem finding these numbers and imputing them, but when I do the screen says the number is invalid or does not exist. I would really rather not send the pen back. Any help at all would be wonderful! Thank you!
