I've encountered a serious problem with my laptop. when i install my GPU driver package, display goes black before logging in. when i disable intel graphic from device manager, windows boots up but in lower resolution (1024) and when i disable AMD, it hangs just after entering log on password. do u think it may the GPU is broken or its a software issue?
i've tried 3 different versions of GPU driver package (geniuned by HP).andalso tried to install intel and AMD drivers from windows device manager, problem still exist.please help

HDMI port not working after windows update
Hi,
I used to plug my laptop to my Toshiba LED TV via the HDMI port to watch movies and surf the net, but since last windows update, no signal seems to come out from the port.
I tried changing the cable, another screen, updating intels drivers, HP software updates and still no signal from the HDMI.
I do not even find any trace, icon or option of an HDMI in my windows configuration, sound options...
Can someone help me pleaase

Display Issue, Intel Driver
Hi guys,
I've a hp pavilion m3-u103dx with intel i5 (7th gen) with product no W2L18UA#ABA. The display doesn't always come on after the hp Logo but the system is fully functional, if it displays it could be in a lower resolution or it might just be okay (same resolution). At times I type my password and use ALT + F4 to shut down when it doesn't display.
Things I've done
1. I uninstalled the display driver, then I downloaded a new one from HP. It didn't work, same effect.
2. I did a PC reset, this worked but the only problem I encountered was ---> there was no intel driver installed on the PC causing the brightness control to be static(I couldn't inrease or decrease the brightness) but it worked fine without the driver then I installed the driver from HP and I'm back to the same issue. I don't know what to do. HELP!

Whenever I open any file or window, it automatically scrolls down to the bottom of the page
Whenever I start my pc, everything automatically scrolls down to the bottom of the page and also the cursor goes at the end of the line. Seems like some driver issue. Please help.

Laptop Screen Nightmare
Here is my story:
Bought my laptop (HP Envy 17 inch touch screen) in May from HP.com. Love it! One month in, I closed my laptop on the power plug that was sitting on the computer instead of being plugged in. This created a small crack on the bottom of the glass screen. The crack grew and eventually affected the touch screen. I took the laptop to a local, very well-rated repair shop who charged me $200 to replace the glass screen which I was happy to do. When I picked up my "repaired" laptop, the screen did not match the original screen in that the camera holes did not match. My original screen had five separate holes (duel cameras, flash, infra-red). My camera could not function correctly. I took the laptop back with the original screen and showed them how the new screen does not match the original screen and wanted them to order and replace with the correct part. Two weeks later I when I picked it up, there were two more holes that were scratched out with something sharp. The two additional holes were uneven and odd shaped - one is even more like a square. It looks like a little kid did the repair. To make matters worse, debris from the "scratching" of the screen has fallen down behind the glass and the lcd so that my screen is permanently "dirty."
I called HP today and after being transferred multiple times was given two different prices for replacing the screen: $696.29 and $435.70. I was told they could only replace the LCD and glass screen as a whole and could not replace only the glass screen. I did not accept this and tried online chatting with an HP agent and was given a third price of $659.99 to replace the lcd screen and glass screen. When I said I only wanted the glass replaced, the agent said that was not possible.
So now I need some good solid advice on what I should do next. Should I pay $700 to HP or is there another option for me? Geek Squad at Best Buy was unable to help me since they have never sold my particular model. I'm afraid I am going to have to live with my very expensive, (now) piece of junk. Thank you for your time and any help/advice you can give me.

Elitebook 1040 G3 External Display Flickering (Display Port - HDMI on UltraSlim Docking Station

Issue: Screen flickering on DP-HDMI monitor. Screen will with seemingly random consistency go black for varying amounts of time (at most 5-10 seconds, but usually 1-3). The behavior seems (subjective) to be related to amount of resources being used. When lots of stuff is open, the issue is more apparent.
There are no issues with the VGA connection, itself. The VGA connection will NOT be detected if DP is already hooked up. In order to bring both monitors up, I have to unplug both cables, plug in the VGA, then plug in DP-HDMI. Faulty performance/flickering occurs regardless of whether VGA connection is detected/operating. If both cables are connected and, using Intel GFX Display UI to "Detect" additional monitors, I lose the VGA connection.
My colleague and I both got these same laptops, with the same docking stations, presumeably set up identically, with identical monitors, and identical cables. The problem doesn't occur with his set-up. However, the problem does occur with my laptop using his set-up.
I have run the HP "Download and Install all of our recommended software" program, and have installed all recommended software. I have tried to install the UltraSlim Dock DP update mentioned in the previous threads (note... from 2016), but not recommended by the Image Assistant , and have received the error "Unable to located DP MST IC"
The problem is with the laptop.

Laptop screen
I have a HP notebook 15-AY039WM with a cracked screen. And I was wondering if a HP 15-f039wm would work to replace it? This would be using a screen from a different laptop but this one works perfectly, the screen type from the 15-f039wm is a 15.6" diagonal HD WLED-Backlit display. And the 15-AY039WM with the cracked screen is a 15.6" diagonal HD. Display2 and on the box it only has vibrant display with a crisp HD screen. I'd just like to know if the 15-f039wm laptop screen will fit the 15-AY039WM screen. Thank you!!

Dual screens with
Hi,
I have a new job starting and I just bought this laptop. I purchased two monitors and need to know if I need to purchase any addition items to be able to hook them up properly (Cords? Dock?).
The two monitors are Acer 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor Display Full HD 1920 x 1080 R240HY.
I am very bad with figuring these things out, so your help is greatly appreciated.

Multi monitor for multi computers
Personal Laptop: Spectre x360 Convertible 13 (Windows 10 64 bit)
3 USB, 1 HDMI and 1 mini display port
Work Laptop: Elitebook Folio 1040 (Windows 8.1 64 bit)
2 USB ports and 1 Displayport
When using either laptop I use the laptop display and then would like to use the 2 monitors as well that I have. Currently I have it working with my personal laptop using and HDMI cable and then and HDMI connected to mini DP adapter.
For my work laptop, I am stumped. I cannot figure out the best way to get it connected. I cannot do HDMI to USB because that requires drivers to be installed and that is not going to happen.
I do not want to have to be swapping out adapters and cables each time I am switching between the two laptops. Any suggestions to make my life easier?
I know there are universal docking stations, but again, those appear to connect to the laptop via USB and need drivers installed to use it, so that is not an option.

Keyboard buttons are all shortcuts
My cat decided to jump on my computer and now almost every button is a shortcut. 1 opens netflix, 5 opens spotify, etc. I cant type at all on it without something popping up or nothing happening at all.

Elitebook 745 G3 hangs when using docking station + external monitor
I have an Elitebook 745 G3 with Windows 7. Under normal use (i.e. no peripherals) it works perfectly - however, when connected to a docking station and an external monitor (doesn't matter whether via DP or VGA), it hangs at random. Not your typical BSOD, the screen just freezes up, and i have to do a hard reboot to get things going again.
When i use the docking station without any external monitor, it works just fine.
I tried to use another monitor (different brand) to see if it makes a difference. It doesn't.
I've searched this forum for answers to no avail.
What I did so far is update everything:

hp pavilion g6-2030ee graphic Issue
I have a G6-2030ee Notebook
Whenever i install windows & drivers. everything working fine, once installing graphic driver it crashes.
i tried all versions On HP support site, & i tried windows 7 32 & 64 & Windows 10 with the same Issue.
I tried Also to Install the AMD adabter from AMD, its also the same.

External Monitor
I am trying to connect my HP 2309v external monitor to my new HP Spectre x360 13-ac002na via a HP USB docking station, but it is not detecting the external monitor. Everything else attached to the Docking Station works fine, and the same set up worked fine with my previous Windows 10 Lenovo laptop and Windows 7 HP laptop. I have updated the DisplayLink drivers etc - but no success.

windows 10 start lagging after updating display driver for Amd A8 APU R5 radeon to most recent
I have recently updated my display driver to most recent update to amd radeon software crimson 17.7.2
Now after update my windows start lagging all animation, video and mouse pointer all lags every 4-5 second. I need the latest driver as i am unable to play ultra 4k smoothly on youtube video.

Screen goes black when scrolling
I have this computer
HP Flagship 15.6" 15-ay191ms HD Touchscreen Signature Laptop - Intel Core i3-7100u 2.40 GHz, 8 GB DDR4 Memory, 1 TB HDD, DVD Burner, HDMI, HD Webcam, Bluetooth, Win 10
and have had it for 6 months. Recently it has been turning black (the screen goes black) each time I scroll up or down using two fingers on the mousepad and I can't figure out why.

HP Pavilion with AMD Carizzo A10-8700P failed to install Radeon software 17.7.2
Hello HP Carrizo users,
is anyone of you able to install the lates AMD Radeon software on his/her AMDbased laptop?
I'm having an issue installing it under Win 10 pro 1703.

To summarize it:
I cannot install any new AMD Radeon software since the Win 10 creators update. The latest running AMD radeon software is the 17.4.3 version.
My Pavilion has the F.45 ver1 BIOS.
My laptop:
Pavilion 15Z-ab100 with AMD A10-8700P+R7 M360
Some users can install the newest radeon driver, if they enable legacy boot support in the BIOS, this is why I think it might be a BIOS issue.
Who has similar problems?

How do I replace the screen in a HP Pavilion 17-G153US
What is the procedure to removing & replacing the screen in a HP Pavilion 17-G153US? I have a manul but it showing about dis mantling the bottom cover, hingles & so on. I have replaced screens in other laptops & its straight forward , snapping off Plastic Bezel , removing 4 screws from the side of the screen & unplugging interface cable. Can anyone help me with this. I just don't want to start prying & then realize their's a hidden screw or something. I look on You Tube for video & there's nothing specific to my model. Please advise
