unfortunately I made the same mistake of installing the wrong firmware for my touchscreen and now it doesn't work 
and the (hp spectre 13-4100 x360) firmware doesn't work on my laptop because it's the newest model (hp spectre 13-ac000 x360)
I've tried/checked for firmwares from all the HP N-Trig models, but nothing worked.
Any ideas how I can get a compatible firmware?

To try to solve the pen/touch delay problem (described here), I installed the (HP F-HD Touchscreen Controller Firmware Update) from this page. This isn't my model, but I thought it would either be compatible or refuse to install. However, it isn't compatible and it installed nonetheless wrecking my touchscreen!
Now, the touchscreen is erratic registering about 5 random inputs a second. The only way I managed to able to use my computer after the doomed firmware update is through the previously installed TeamViewer. I logged in from another device, disabled the user input, then disabled the touchscreen from the device manager. So, I can use my computer as long as I keep the touchscreen disabled. The touchscreen behaves the same way even in the BIOS (when I press F2) registering constant random inputs.
I spent hours trying to fix this problem and find a firmware for my computer with no luck.
I found similar posts by other people, and they managed to fix the problem by downloading the firmware from the (Spectre x360 13-4100) page, but it isn't compatible with the 13-ac000 series, and it refuses to install.
It's really frustrating how the firmware update doesn't have a fail safe to stop it from being downloaded on incompatible devices, and how a single 1mb file (original firmware) can solve this whole ordeal for me.... for some reason, HP can't be bothered to upload this file on the support page along with the other drivers.
I bought my computer abroad and sending it to HP service isn't an option where I am... Please HP, upload the firmware for the Spectre 13-ac000 series!
I've also tried the (Spectre x360 15-ap00), but it refused to install.
Any suggestions on how I could fix this problem??

Please, no need to suggest doing a windows restore and/or the HP recovery, and/or update the BIOS as none of these solutions help.

My laptop is HP Pavilion Dv6-6B15Ew (QH616EA).
It has 2 graphic cards. Radeon HD 6520G (integrated) and Radeon HD 6750M (discrete).
A few days ago suddenly I wasn't able to play most of video games apart from the very old ones. I tried to reinstal Catalyst AMD drivers. When I tried to install driver instalation failed due to an error (connected to detectionmanager.dll).
Eventually I reinstalled windows7. I am still unable to install the (amd catalyst) drivers - the same error appears.
It seems something has happened to Radeon HD 6750M (discrete)
When I try to identify devices, I see
Device Name:
Video Controller (VGA Compatible) - for both of Radeons
However integrated Radeon HD 6520G appears to have normal Hardware ID.
On the other hand Radeon HD 6750M (discrete) shows:

My father bought this in 2009 along with a pc. Both of which i am on currently. My problem started a couple of months ago when the resolution randomly changed to 1440x900 instead the normal 1920x1080. I have no idea why it changed. If i did i'd know how to fix it. Im currently using an HDMI. Any help would be appreciated.

Windows 10 updated to Creator edition and there's an incompatibility with AMD Radeon HD 6700M series (switchable graphics).
The screen is black and I cannot get Windows 10 to run. I done a complete clean install of Windows 10 several times and have tried several different graphic drivers without success.
Is there a proven compatable AMD graphic driver with Windows 10 creator edition?
I want to get iRacing which is a simulation racing game and I have everything I need for it except dedicated memory. It requires 1GB and I only have 128MB. I don't want to buy another laptop or buy a desktop computer to play this game. Is ther something I can do to allow more dedicated memory. I have tried going into the BIOS to find a way but I'm either looking in the wrong place or I'm going about getting to the BIOS the wrong way. I have a total of 1TB of RAM so I'm wondering if there's a way to add to my dedicated memory from using part of my RAM. Hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance.
I have this piece of junk it's called a HP laptop. it's a 15-g091sa model and the screen displays spots (explosions) and irratic mouse. Which means it's impossible to operate correctly.
I have scanned for viruses and none are present, I have tried to recover to a previous date, but the system shows an error and will not continue, I have upgraded the OS to Windows 10 Creator, but the problem remains. I am trying to do a factory reset, but the system will not as it cannot find the partition ( which is plain to see on the screen). I have tried to reinstal from a DVD but the system will not boot from DVD, even though I have changed th BIOS boot profile to load DVD first. Therefore if anyone can help me I would be grateful, but first perhaps the Kretins who designed this machine should first offer an apology!

I tried to find the answer for this on the forums, but no joy. In the end I solved it myself, so thought I'd post the answer here in case it helps others...
Problem: I found the display on my HP Spectre x360 (Spring 2017 version) was slightly yellow. That is, when I had a white background (e.g. in a web browser) the white had a slightly yellowish tint. I wanted to change this, and reduce the yellowishness.
Solution:
Right click on the desktop background > Intel Graphics Settings > Display > Color Settings
In the section labelled Color Enhancement you'll see boxes for Select Color (initially set as All Colors) and for Brightness.
Go to Select Color > Red. Then reduce the value for Brightness using the slider. I reduced it from 0 to -10.
Go to Select Color > Green. Reduce this value for Brightness, again using the slider. I reduced it the same amount: from 0 to -10.
(Red + Green = Yellow) You may try different values according to your preference.
Click Apply.

So I opened my laptop this morning and there is a purplish discolouring on my monitor. There has been no accident or pressure to the monitor and the laptop sits on my desk 24/7. It just appeared from nowhere and I would like to get it fixed as I am a digital artist and it is vital that my screen is flawless. Ill attach a couple of images to this message but an help you can give me would be great. The laptop is under warranty and no preessure or force has been applied to the monitor.

I bought the HP Spectre a couple of months ago and I love it so far.
A couple of days ago I encountered this problem. Sometimes the pointer just goes to the lower right corner of the screen and starts clicking repeatedly within the same square centimeter. The laptop is rendered completely useless meanwhile, as I can't do anything meanwhile.

After updating my Hp to windows 10 My truevision web and microphone is missing from the Device Manager. My web cam came already installed on the computer. 584037-001 that is number on sticker next to the the product key sticker that starts with xfy..... I need my web camera for work its part of the requirement to have my job. I have tried using the Hp Support but it can't seem to find my computer.

I have purcahsed the product "HP Notebook - 15-ac044tu" in Aug 2015 in two years of time span I got the one black spot at a single place on the screen that was very small thin line but I have noticed that that is increasing day by day and also it is spreading in different places. I acnnot adentified that how this is happening in my laptop without any damage or crack.
I have have attached some of the photos in this post so that you can see that which kind of spot is appearing.
The bigger one was the first spot like above one and now its becomming huge and the top one was appearing from last few days. Please being very disappointed to seeing the such condition of my laptop screen.
Please I requested to the concerned technician please provide me any best solutions to comes out from this issue. How this type of problem happens generally and what i need to do. Actually i need to consult any HP technical expert without going to consult any technical solution. Please suggest me any solution.

How can I get my keys on my laptop to be silent? They are so noisy. How can I also get the button on my mouse and cursor selector to be silent as well? I need help.
