Can see display with a flashlight. Booting up properly (I can put in my password, go to chrome, but ONLY using a flashlight to see the screen). Brightness all the way up, re-started, etc.

Touch screen scrolling highlights
Hi. I've been having an issue with my HP Spectre X360 where, when I'm using the computer, either in tablet or laptop mode, the touch screen acts as if I have long pressed when swipping left or right. As a result it highlights text, and or moves icons as if I've done the mouse equivalent of holding down right click, and dragging. This occurs both in-browser and ehen browsing various files I have stored. I haven't changed any settings, or installed any new software, so im thinking it must be a setting I've accidentally activated. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Graphic card installation issue
My notebook's configuration :
Processor: Amd A10 8700P
Graphics primary: amd radeon r6
Graphic secondary: amd radeon r7 m360
RAM: 8GB
HDD: 1TB
I recently got a virus in my notebook which made the notebook to malfunction. The only thing I could have done was to reset my Notebook and start fresh. Now I did reset my notebook but from that day onwards whenever I try to install any graphic driver either from HP website or by using AMD autodetect software after few seconds of installation the screen blinks twice and I receive a messege that says no driver is installed on the computer whenever I try to run the catalyst manager. Please help its just been one year since I bought the notebook.

I lost ability to view BD roms when win 10 installed
After installing win 10 I lost ability to view BD DVD's. My ser no is [Personal Information Removed] and Product Number: WW185AV . The device is HP DVDWBD TS -LB23L SCSI CD Rom Device.. Microsoft driver 10.0.15063.0 dated 6/21/06 and windows reports no updates? Please reply

I met exactly the same problem. I used to buy DVDs from amazon, both regular and blue ray ones. They work really fine on Windows 7, but after the automatical update of Windows8, every thing go to such. The DVD could not be recognized.

Use VLC, not Windows Media Player to play the DVD file. Another possible reason, which i did not meet but some other people met is that the codec pack for DVD is not installed on Windows 8, to solve this problem you can refer to this tutorial: http://www.videoconverterfactory.com/tips/how-to-play-dvd-on-laptop.html. But I do think it is not necessary to run Windows8 since W7 is the stablest one.

Three keys work sometime
There are three keys that work intermitently. Some times if I put my computer to sleep and start it up some time later the keys work however as I use the keyboard for some minutes these keys stop working. I have removed the keys and they are clean.
I believe there may be an electrical problem or I just need a new keyboard.

Windows 10 Dual Monitors Problem
Windows cannot detect second monitor for dual monitor application. Tried detecting dual monitors from Display Settings; however windows could not detect 2nd monitor. Tried installing original driver from HP website for ATI Radeon HD4200 graphics card, but ran into problem even after logging onto PC as administrator. Prevented from installing the driver by the PC. Could not roll back driver since no option was available. Also tried to install driver from ATI site, but was not able to restore dual monitor display. Both displays are the same. Unsure how to correct the display issue to restore dual monitor operation.

Graphic Driver missing after upgrade to windows 10

I recently upgraded my probook 4530s to windows 10 from windows 7, i noticed my graphics driver is not working, i tried updating the driver via device manager, but i keeo getting an error and the system restarts.

Touchpad isnt working after spamming keys
Ok well i was playing a game and we all know how it feels to get killed alot so i got very mad and spammed all my keys. at first alot of windows opened up and then 2 black bars went on the side of my screen. at this time my touchpad was still working, so i used my toucpad to reset my pc and after it finished reseting and i logged in, my touchpad wouldnt do anything, yes i tried doing the top left corner click thing it didnt work i went on device manager and the little tab thing where it says pointers and hardware and my touchpad didnt come up. I spent 1 hour trying to fix it but there is no youtube video that has my exact problem. can someone please help?

i formated my hp 250 g3 notebook as i wanted to change mbr table to gpt and then i reinstalled windows 7 64bits.the notebook started having issues with graphics.i downloaded intel hd graphics plus intel chipset from hp and intel respectively but my problem is not yet fixed.please help

Intel HD Graphics Driver Update
HP Support Assistant says I need to update the Intel HD Graphics Driver.
I go to download and install it and get a message that driver I am trying to install is older the current driver installed.
Should I go ahead?

Not Compatible with Tablets?
I am using Paint Tool Sai and a Bamboo Drawing Tablet, I have also had a Higher end tablet, for whatever reason the envy won't work with stabalizers for whatever reason. I have also tried photoshop with a stabalizing tool and that didn't work either. If I can't get stabalizers to work I may have to get a new computer that's more compatible with the programs I use. Anybody who can point me in the right direction to fix the issue?

HP Pavilion DV7
I have recently replaced the motherboard and screen on a customers DV7, I'm baffled! I start it up, the screen flashes, boots into windows with a black screen, when I hook it up to an external monitor it shows everything is working fine. I used the proper amount of thermal paste on the cpu and gpu. Any suggestions?

Broken Screen on HP 15-ba094na Laptop
Hello,
I purchased an HP laptop (product code 15-ba094na, manufacturers number Z9C33EA#ABU) at the end of April, but an issue with the screen has developed. The laptop powers on fine, but no picture appears on the LCD. The backlight however is working, so the screen is lit but with no image. The laptop works completely fine when connected to an external display source through HDMI, but other than that there is absolutely no image on the laptops own screen despite the screen being lit, it is simply black.
So the software is completely fine as it can be used with a tv or external monitor, can anyone give an insight as to what the problem might be?

HP Pavilion x360 not working with Active Stylus
I have just bought the HP Pavilion x360 (with Active pen compatability) and bought the HP Active Pen with spare tips. The pen does not work at all. I have also tried out a DELL Venus Active Stylus again with no success.
As the 2017 model is newly available for Active Pen I would expect HP to have a pen available to use with it?

Cracked screen and mouse localization
I bought my laptop in the beginning of the year and in less than 2 months of using it the screen cracked when all I did was move from one location to another which is less than 100 metres away. Because of this, the mouse localized to one spot on the screen so I can't use the laptop at all. The laptop itself is amazing, and as an engineering student this laptop is the best and I would like to be able to recommend it to students going into my program however I'm disappointed that the only reason why I'm not able to tell them to purchase this is because of a product defect. As a student, I need to budget my money well and it costed me a lot to purchase it. However, this problem left me struggling for the rest of the school year because I was not able to use it for my major projects which I had programs downloaded in it. I called HP multiple times and tried getting it fixed from anywhere that could fix it but the cost is way too much for me ($500). I need it for school next month and I have no idea what to do, I would really appreciate it if there is any way to have it fixed at a much more student-friendly price because I really do like this laptop and it's perfect for me, I can't afford to fix this laptop let alone buy another one so I'm really stuck here.
