I purchased this computer 2 years ago for my daughter in college. Since coming how from college the computer has not been used, when looking at it yesterday the computer developed a crack on the screen in the top right corner, like evryone else in this forum. I just talked to HP Support and the initail price to get it fixed was $659, when I questioned it they lowered it to $465. Has anyone received a cheaper price to get the screen fixed? I am trying to figure out why any college student would want to purchase an HP Laptop, if they will not last the 4 years.

screen flickering

I am residing in INDIA at present.I was facing the problem of screen flickering in my hp pavilion 15au-023cl laptop (TOUCH)

Icomplained to hp customer care on 22nd June 2017 and told them about my problem with case ID5001154156 as my product is under warranty. They recognised the poblem andAfter two days they told me that the part is not availible in India and therefore Ihave to send the laptop to the U.S. for repairing.Therefore I personally visited the service center of HP on 5th July 2017 and lodged the complaint as stated above.The email adress of the service center is regn.lko@aforeserve.co.in and I have handed over my laptop to them for repair.,Kindly look into the matter and do the needful as I have piurchased the product assuming to get global services. Therefore it is requested to rectify the defect in INDIA itself.

Cracked Screen on new HP x360 13"
I just purchased a new HP Spectre x360 13". I loved this new computer until I noticed a very small crack in the bottom left side of my screen. There is no sign of a drop which leads me to believe that it was a stress fracture from opening a closing the laptop. Upon closing a reopening the laptop the crack shot halfway up the screen!!!!! All I did was open and close it with one hand! THIS IS CLEARLY A DESIGN FLAW.
I use my laptop for work and I travel to a new city every week (Touring Entertainment). I want my computer repaired for free because I haven't had it for more than 2 weeks. And I need to know exactly how long it will take because my mailing address changes weekly.

My brightness controls stopped working?
A week or so ago my brightness controls randomly stopped working. My screen brightness cannot be changed/adjusted with the f2 and f3 keys or in the display settings when the laptop is running on battery or power cord connected to wall. How do I fix this? Thank you.

switchable amd graphics problem
hello all. i have a hp pavilion notebook 17 g133cl with A10 R7 and R8M365DX swithable graphics which are not working properly. i have set the active power plan to high performance, set the application(game) to use the high performance graphic card in the
switchable application settings and made sure that the laptop was plugged in. after all this the application monitor shows the game running on the integrated gpu which performs poorly when it comes to gaming. i even updated the bios so
so i can change the switchable option to fixed graphics mode but that also did not help. the bios was updated successfully but there was no option to change switchable graphics mode. am out of ideas now please help

With dots appear randomly in my screen. I have updated everything (drivers, windows, etc.)
My screen goes randomly crazy. Mostly, after resuming from hibernation withe dots in line appear on my screen and I cannot take control of my notebook. I have a video to show you this strange malfunction but I don't know how to upload it.
My notebook model is HP Spectre 13-4102dx and is fully updated (win + drivers + bios etc.) and no virus.
Since I have had this problem for a long time, I would appreciate any help.

Number keys not working!
Has anyone recently had any issues with their number keys suddenly stop working??? I used the computer a couple days ago and it was fine. Now the numbers only work occasionally on both number pads.

Display driver kept not working
Brightness level keep going to the max. Display driver had to be uninstalled or updated to be able to use the brightness level. After shut down, the problem would return. So the problem is I have to repeatedly uninstall and install display driver everytime I want to use this laptop.

I just bought this new laptop. It's a Pavilion x360. Whenever i moves my head back and forth the cursor moves on its own and sometimes with some random clicks. It is really annoying sometimes. Is this a feature or there's something wrong with my laptop? Please help me thank you.

White Patches on My HP Laptop
I have encountered white patches on my HP Laptop screen and i have produced the laptop to HP Service Center in Ravipuram, Kochi, Kerala, India. However, they checked the same and replied me that the patches where result of handling issues upon transporting the product prior to sale. I have purchase the laptop on 02-02-2017.
They denied me service saying that they cannot do anything post 3 months of purchase with regard to display of laptops. This is a serious issue from the part of HP service personnel and from customer point of view, i am not happy as my product is in warranty and the laptop got patches only due to Manufacturing or Transporting of the computer prior to sale.
Any issues prior to sale is not customers concern and HP is liable to repair/ replace the product as per the warranty policy,
The Service Center of HP in my locality (Ravipuram, Kochi, Kerala, India) is not taking up the issue and thus forced me to write up here. Please help me to solve the issue.

HP Spectre x360 - tablet mode/rotation stopped working
Hi,
A few days ago, the tablet mode on my laptop suddenly stopped working: no screen auto-rotation, keyboard and touch won't disable on rotating the screen over 180 degree.
First, I must tell that I already tried every fix proposed on Internet: check settings, tweak registries, update/rollback drivers, hardware diagnostics, BIOS update, downgrade Windows, fresh installation: nothing worked.... 
I don't think the problem isrelated to OS/software
I suppose a sensor is dead.
Can somebody recommend something new about this ?
Or should send it to HP for maintenance (it is still under warranty) ?
