AMD Radeon HD 7400M Series Drivers for DV7, Windows 8/8.1

Hey,

Been searching for a long time for driver support for the AMD Radeon 7400M since I upgraded my DV7 to Windows 8 but there doesn't seem to be anything compatible - have I missed something? Or is there a workaround for this? As this secondary graphics card was much stronger than the native Intel one and if I can't get driver support for it then it may be a deal breaker for Windows 8. Can anyone help?

 Thanks

HP Envy 17 - 3090 NR 3D thin vertical green line appearing sporadically

I just bought an HP Envy 17-3090 NR 3D laptop.  It is loaded with Windows 7.  Occasionally a thin green vertical line appears on my screen.  Sometimes the line disappears when I touch the screen, other times it disapearts after several minutes.  I'm worried that it may be a symptom of the screen going bad or something being connected improperly.

Video Card Problems.

Greetings,

So i have been trying really hard since the day my dad bought this Laptop aka (HP Compaq Presario CQ61) or something like that to upgrade the Video Card of it because me as a Gammer, it SUCKS however it loads most of the games but it still has incredible lags. The game works but with 10~25FPS (If you are a League of legends gammer you will understand.)

Anyway. I would really like to have some help here to get this Video Card upgraded because i can not really do anything with it (not only me who suffers lol but all my family does too, it loads slowly even the website pages loads slowly).

Dedicated Video Card: 64MB - Like seriously? :/

I have 4 GB Ram, i tried to edit the system and put it higher (the 64mb thing via F10 when you open your laptop system.) But it somehow does not even show that option. I saw over 5 videos already but i still can not be able to find that option.

Adapter Type: Mobile Intel(R) 45 express Chipest Family (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.1)

Adapter String: Mobile Intel(R) GMA 4500MHD

However the Shared System Memory is 1245MB. please help me to upgrade it or just tell me if i can upgrade it via visiting any computer shop and buy one.

Please tell me if you need any further information about the laptop.

Thanks in advance.

HP Envy M6 Notebook wont play video, only audio

$

I have tried to play various types of video files including DVDs and .AVI videos taken on my camera that I know work on other media players but all that plays is the audio, the screen is just black. I can watch videos online, eg. youtube and they work fine. I can also play games and the visuals are working, but when I try to use skype I can't see anything, although I know that the webcam is working because others can see me, and I can take a picture with it which will show up after it is taken, but the screen is black when I am actually using the webcam, there is no live picture as there would usually be.

I have tried using different players; VLC, Windows media player as well as the default video player but it is the same in each case, audio but no video. I uninstalled/reinstalled or updated these just in case but that didn't solve anything. I made sure that flash player is updated and checked for any updates at all but everything is up to date.

I looked around for other people with similar problems and saw some had the power plan set to low and that affected playback quality but I changed mine to high performance and that didn't work, either running from battery or from mains power.

I checked the drivers to see if they needed updated but everything says that it is up to date.

I was advised it could be a missing codec but after getting CCCP and that not working I am at the limit of what I or my friends can think of that could be wrong, or how to fix it.

Having ruled out the above (although I would try again if it could be the case I've missed something) has anyone experienced a similar problem, and how did you fix it?

Does anyone have any ideas at all what could be causing this or how to reslove the issue?

Thank you.

Hi all,

Pictures I made four years ago seem unviewable now.  I try to open these JP2 and JPG pictures but can't.  Is there a way to easily change the properties of these by copying and using "save as" and designating a new file type?  If possible, how should they be saved?

  Thanks for any feedback.

HP Wireless TV Connect - Unable to add new video source

Like in the case of many others, my device stopped working after Windows 8.1 installation.  I read all the postings in the forum and the solutions and by now am ready to scream.  Nothing seems to work to solve my problem.  When I try to add new video source, I get the message "Please activate registration on transmitter unit".  I read some of the other posts suggesting to hold down the end button on the transmitter, but that does not work for me.  I get nothing but a blinking blue light and in a few seconds the scree displays the message "WHDI source not found".  Any help resolving this would be much appreciated!

Is hot pixel covered by warranty?

I bought a Hp Pavillion M4 Notebook PC less than 2 months ago and lately I've been experiecing a hot pixel on my screen. It doesn't particularly affect the laptop's performance but my OCD kicks in and I constantly look over to the pixel to check if it's still there.

It shines bright white and I was wondering if it is covered by warranty.

Hi

Bouth new Hp laptop and it's driving me nuts, the screen seems to have mind of it's own and changes brightess level every 5 seconds or so, no matter if on battery or plugged in. I've tried changing the power plan but it didn't help. I'm working as a photographer and editing photos is simply impossible with this happening. What do I do to set one screen brightness level and keep it this way please?

Hp Pavilion having issues connecting to the TV

Hey there! I'm from Brazil and I've been trying to fix this issue for quite some time. My parents own an old HP Pavilion (I could try getting more accurate on the model if you guys could provide me ways to do so as I can't find it anywhere on the notebook :c) that they use to communicate with me via skype as I don't live with them anymore. However, since a few months back, they couldn't connect it to the TV and since I got back home for vacations I've been trying to fix it.

It's an old model so it lacks an HDMI connection. We use a standard VGA cable instead. And before anyone asks, I've tested the cable with 2 other notebooks and it works properly.

The issue is, while the notebook itself acknowledges the connection and allow me to change some of the configurations (like extended desktop), the TV flashes for a second but won't show anything, no matter what I try.

I've tried checking the drives for the notebook, but the HP auto-detection won't show anything, and I simply can't find further information on the model to manual search for them.

Welp, I guess that's it. Any help is truly appreciated. Thanks in advance :3~

I was wondering if is possible to connect two monitors on it and to keep the laptop monitor working in the same time(so three all together ). I can attach one , if i put the second one is not working, i can see third monitor in the setting but no signal on the monitor.

If my video card doesnt support the third monitor can I improvize something ?

Hi,

I downgraded my HP 2000-2d28CA laptop from Windows 8 to Windows 7 (home-premium / 64-bit)

The notebook model has a AMD Radeon HD 8240 chip, but windows 7 did not come with the proper drivers for this.

I am looking for drivers to install this graphic card for windows 7.

AMD Radeon HD 6620G Graphics Card stopped working - plus can't hibernate laptop

$

The AMD graphics card on my HP Pavilion dv7 laptop has stopped working. If I look in Device Manager, it shows the "AMD Radeon(TM) HD 6620G" with a yellow exclamation point and the error code "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problem. (Code 43)" in the properties. Not sure how to fix this. When I watch video it is choppy. Along with this, I can no longer select the "sleep" or "hibernate" options. They're greyed out and cannot be selected. I opened Command Prompt to try to turn hibernate on, and got the message "An internal system component has disabled hibernation."

Another thing that has started to occur is if I shut my computer down and restart, I get a black screen. I have to keep doing a hard restart (usually about 10 times) until the screen finally comes on.

Does anybody have a solution for this? Or, am I going to have to scrap this laptop and get something else? It's only a few months past warranty, very frustrating. Thanks for your help in advance.

hp envy touchsmart 15

Hello, I recently purchased a HP Envy touchsmart 15 with the Nvidia GeForce GT 740 M with 2GB dedicated Graphics mainly to play League of Legends.  Now, I open LOL with the Nvidia experience application and optimize my in game graphics to maximum settings, and I cannot get over 35 frames per second.  This is very confusing to me because league does not require that high end graphics like other games and I am still getting a measly 35 fps... I have also taken it into the Microsoft store (Where I purchases it) and had a Tech mess with the bios to have the primary graphics running  from the Nvidia card rather than the intel card, and still nothing... It actually performed worse when it was running off of the  Nvidia card .  I have checked the hp forums for answers, and it said to go into the bios and have the primary card set as the Nvidia card instead of the intel card, and it also said to change it to primary in the nvidia graphics properties , but I have already tried these solutions, and yet still nothing.  HP advertises this product as "It will definetely Turn heads where ever you use it"

here is the link for proof:    http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/en_US/pdp/HP-ENVY-TouchSmart-15-j051nr-Touchscreen-Laptop/productID.282377300

The only head that is turning is mine in regards to why I bought this when it doesnt even perform the way it is advertised... I paid $1099.00 thinking I was buying a powerfull pc with a amazing graphics card, but I am getting the opposite in return.  If you can help in anyway, or suggest another settings option or something to make the graphics better I would appreciate it, otherwise I want my money back.
