Hello,

i have some problems with my graphic card amd 8670m and windows 8.1, infact when i used windows 8 i played with every games as Skyrim or Call of duty, but now it's impossible becouse my system (8.1) doesn't switch video card and see only the integrate intel 4400 hd. I try every drivers for my amd 8670m but not work infact once time i try to disable the intel hd graphc and appear an error that say my  amd's drivers are incompatible, but i download the drivers from Hp( sp64040.exe)..after i download also from amd but not work

Now i haven't a backup of windows 8 and for me is impossible return to wn8:( thanks and sorry for my english.

I have a Pavillion TS 11 Notebook PC and since day one I have had issues when playing video with it.

The video is constantly freezing and jumping and on ccasion the audio track is out of sync also, especially if I skip further along a video without letting it play itself out.

 

The graphics card is integrated in the processor (AMD 1GHz), I don't know if this could have something to do with it?

 

Any help appreciated as it is a bit of a headwreck at this stage!!

I have a Pavilion G6 [edited by Moderator], Prod No. A6259UA#ABA). Several months back I started get a black screen following the startup message.  I could hear the laptop functioning in the background while this is happening. The black screen is intermittent. I have performed the rebooting to factory configuration and reloaded Office 2010. I have also tried disconnecting all power and attachment included the removal of the battetry, then held the start button for 15-30 seconds. The problem persist. Until this issue, this unit ran flawlessly. What is the cause and corrective action to mitigate this propblem?

I have an HP Envy and when I connected the HDMI cable to my laptop from the TV it worked for about 5 mins. Then, all of a sudden, my laptop screen and TV both go blank and the TV displays "Invalid Format". My laptop freezes. Even if I unplug the HDMI cable my laptop still stays blank. I have to do a hard reboot to get it up and running again. I plug the HDMI cable in and it does the same thing. My friend connected her laptop and it worked fine. Someone please help.

How do I turn on the webcam using my Hp Pavillion g series laptop?  I have downloaded the softward but it asks me to turn the camera on and I can't find where to do that.  Thanks.

Hi Dude,

 

My notebook is HP Pavilion dv6-7007tx Entertainment Notebook. When I installed window 7 to window 8,

Bluetooth, Internal Microphone and web cam are not working. Even though I already installed the drivers below link, still not working. Please help ASAP.

Hello,

 

I see some overlap with this issue in other posts, but not with this unit. I have an Envy TouchSmart 14

(14-k020us) that came with Win 8 and I successfully upgraded to 8.1 several weeks ago. All was running

well until today when I was doing Windows Updates and chose an "optional update" to update the

display.

 

Now when the notebook boots up, I get the HP logo and swirling circle, and then the screen goes

dead while the TouchSmart is clearly up and running. This is clearly a result of that update.

 

1)

I don't have a USB stick with an emergency restore for this unit. I never got around to doing it.

I do, however have one that I created with my other Envy notebook which is not a TouchSmart

Ultrabook but an Envy 14 Sleekbook (14-k010us). It is an emergency restore I created from the

Sleekbook's pre-loaded Win 8, before I had upgraded that one to 8.1. Would the Sleekbook's USB emergency

restore stick work on the TouchSmart in question? Would there be licensing and/or driver issues right away, since they're not the same unit? I did write down the TouchSmart's Win 8 product ID. I'm actively using the Sleekbook as well, and have not chosen to update the display, so it's working fine.

 

2)

Is there any way I can avoid a complete reinstall and just get the display back on the TouchSmart?

 

3)

Are there any options or questions I'm not thinking of?

 

4)

In the event of a reinstall, is it complicated to take out the hard drive beforehand, and put it into

a USB converter kit so I can back-up the drive to my functioning Sleekbook?

I am facing problem while using HP PAVILION DV2 Model 1107au with graphics card. The display becomes black on startup screen in windows 8.1 32 bit. There is no update of driver available with Microsoft, HP and AMD website. Please help me out how to resolve the issue. Currently I am using MS basic display driver which has large dull display but it works for the time being until I find the updated driver.

Hello,

 

In my notebook model Pavilion dv4-1120us, contrast and brightness are so high that in 10 minutes usage eyes start getting irritation and problems.

I am not able to control brightness and contrast by Fn + Arrow down key since it never works.

 

Please guide me how to control this.  I have Vista home edition on my notebook with core 2 duo processor.

I am using  HP Pavilion g6-2137tx Notebook PC

Window 7 64 bit ,AMD graphics

after my laptop goes to sleep the display is totally dim can't see anything but the laptop is on .

after again restarting the laptop the light the brightness is back on but again getting into sleep the brighness goes dim.

whenever i connect my laptop to my TV via HDMI its fine for about 15mins then the screen goes pink and then reverts back to normal. ive tried changing the resoultion to every other option also tried lots of diffrent HDMI cables and HDMI ports. ive also recently updated the driver for my video card. 

 

can anyone help?

Model: HP ENVY TouchSmart m6-k022dx Sleekbook

 

My screen brightness keeps changing by itself, and I'm not talking about due to lack of use (i.e. screen saver). It is highly annoying how do I make it stop. It changes by itself in both directions, light to dark and dark to light.

Hi, I recently bought this notebook from another person. It is a HP 2000-bf69WM Notebook PC. It has been working perfectly, just gotta get use to it. I've always used XP. I have a simple question, hopefully I'll get a simple answer. I am using the pre-installed HP Truevision HD webcam. I been messing around with it and I noticed when I take a snapshot or video..the captured picture or video is flipped opposite of how I am actually pictured. It's getting to be really, REALLY extremely annoying! I almost want to get rid of this notebook because of that. There is nothing under options for it either, I've checked multiple times. When I do go to this app called CyberLink YouCam, the option called "flip" is there and the snapshot is taken and captured the correct way. I don't even know why hp would do this to the webcam  or why it is autoset like that. Anyway, after going through other threads, I understand I can just open the cam through an installed app program and change the settings there but what if I just want to click my tile app called Camera and be able to fix the settings there? I don't want to have to go through another app just to have the correct flip angle fixed. Not only that, I gotta change it everytime, it doesn't stay that way and plus I am limited to the HD quality for both snaps and videos through apps :smileysad: Please, if you post an answer, tell me how to do it as well as I am new and can barely browse the web. This system is so different than Windows XP. Thanks!

The display show dim whenever ambient light sensor on but when I am disable the light sensor option the brightness satisfactory but it is blinking, how it to be cure that the display not blinking while the ambient light sensor is option is disabled, while there is no blinking when the ambient light sensor option enabled.
